Indeed it was The Wetherby Whaler on the way back home in true Alf Tupper style! Mmmm cracking fish 'n' chips and mushy peas!

I took stalking to another level tonight...the victim on this occasion was my running hero Ron Hill

I travelled all the way to Littleborough near Rochdale to take part in Ron Hill's 70th birthday 5k run (yeah question my sanity 240 mile round trip to run just over 3 miles) and met the great man himself as soon as I arrived at The Falcon pub, I shook his hand wished him all the best
and explained that I had travelled from Durham to take part and his response was... "Are you Lord Smythe?" Ha ha! so Dr. Hill
does read his e-mails as I'd dropped him an e-mail earlier in the day!

Twas a great run with 600 competitors and yes ECG I completed it in 20 minutes 42 seconds (not almost quarter to nine when I finished LOL) the event was well organised and a great bun fight in the pub afterwards with more banter with RH and of course Smythe didn't miss out on a photo opportunity with the great man himself!

A good way to record my continuous running day number 634, but a long way to catch Dr. Ron, he ain't missed a day running since December 1964. Both of us stark raving bonkers? Errrr yes without a doubt!
