Toe Rags

Last night some of the local toe rags needed some petrol, presumably for (1) a Mini Moto, (2) a Quad, or (3) Arson. Guess who's car they decided to raid, cutting the fuel line under the car to do so?

They were disturbed in the process though as we came out to change cars - leaving their petrol can underneath the car. This is being handed over to the OB later on in case there's prints (other than mine) although I'm not holding my breath. Meanwhile my car is currently immobile, I spent most of last night failing to go to sleep due to listening out for their possible return to have another go, and as a result I had to be up before 6 so I could drop the missus off at work and nipper at nursery - all for less than a fivers-worth of unleaded that they never got anyway.

Why do they do it?

Because no-one stops them. They're unimpeachable and you aren't allowed to defend you and yours and they know that.

It would have been funny if your car had exploded when the were nicking the fuel. And they had burned to death.

Heroin is a vile thing and I feel sorry for the families of addicts, but I feel more pity for the poor bastards who get mugged or robbed every day of the week and are just left to get on with it

Update.

Car got fixed on Wednesday after I got it to the garage with the help of two bits of pipe, three jubilee clips and some masking tape.

As we were out all day Thursday and then away from Friday to Sunday, I didn't fancy leaving it on my drive. So it went to the driveway of a vicar a couple of miles away (my other half lived with them before we got married).

It was then nicked off the drive at the Vicarage on Friday Night and is currently at a garage in Bootle waiting for the Poliss (who have been OK having found it Saturday Morning) to finish dusting it for prints.

Value of Car: £500. Excess: £150. I suspect by the time this is over I'll have laid out more than half the value of the blasted thing.

Anyone want to buy a car?
