Booked it for Thursday this week.

Can we get numbers then?

It's still booked for 9pm usual time just a different night.

Is it bunker v bunker?

the usual stadium

i enquired about outdoor at greys so we can do like 8/9 aside bunker v chips chids

but the only availability was poor, your talking like 5pm on a weds and 6pm on a thursday, which is too early for me and i belive most people.

And its 45 quid money upfront, which puts chris in a awkward position, ohh err, as he has to pay money upfront, and hope we get the numbers to cover it.

Doesn't look like he's available, I'd not count on his appearance, although he's trying to sort of the kids so he can play.

Hang on, he's just about sorted, just needing a final 'ok', and he's playing.

Still waiting for final clearance from Soho Square, I'm stood by the fax machine so will confirm as soon as the approval comes through.

Won't Mutters be half way across the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday, I think that is when he said he was off to Cuba for his free Lambretta socks

A maximum of 13 isn't way too many in my opinion. There are at least 2 or 3 on there that won't be turning up every week so we'll always be around the 10 mark.

I didn't know we were telling Jason to 'do one' and don't remember it being said in here. It's not something I'd agree with anyway.

I would probably be pushing my luck trying this week, as I'm still getting pain on and off in my calf. But the lads will both be OK for a Thursday night booking.

With regard to Jason, the only problem was that he was missed off a list of possible players for this week, I don't think anyone ever intended telling him that he wasn't required.

I reckon about 4 of those 13 are unlikely to play. Given the last six months we should be looking to get a dozen in every week and face the consequences of each team having won if the unheard of happens and we get more than 10.

Personally it'll be a lot easier to having a rolling sub than be scraping round for players at 8 o'clock on a night

it was mr yubep who initially drew up the list in the thread entitled weds 24th sept. he said...

So we will have (if im right here, allegedly)

yubep
tax
ptbap
ripper
dunny
billingham1
billingham2
billingham3
chips
trapper ( who chris has informed can play thursdays)

is that right?

i pointed out this was a tad unfair on jason who had been the last 2 weeks and particularly norm, who i considered to be a regular. i also said that both kitch and billy who came with me the night only 4 of us turned up and have been every week since would be willing to play every week.

i dont know what you want to do this week. im happy to play if you need numbers but if theres 12 or 13 im happy to give it a miss. at my age its very hard to go off and stand around for 10-15 minutes and then come back on again as your muscles tighten up almost as soon as you stop.

as it happens if billingham snr, muttley and jason are unavailable this week we might be struggling to even get 10.

by my reckoning we have 6 confirmed so far.

yubep did put at the bottom 'is that right'. I don't think it was ever considered that if you hadn't made the list then you'd been told to do one. I think the power has gone to Mr Yubep's head a bit, he was only asked to book the court while I was on holiday for a week and now he's cutting the numbers down willy nilly.

So far we have
Me
Norm
Yubep
ptbap
Ripper
Billy 1
Billy 2
Chip

2 places left. We should fill them with ease.

In the end the extra man for the remaining 12 minutes and 26 seconds showed in the final scoreline.

Eventually we settled down and found the gaps to exploit when your heads dropped.

More of the same next week would be smashing, it's good competitive stuff.
