Basically the loke who lives there (front of mail tonight) is getting charged with noncing etc. Had his windows and doors smashed in the other week, so has erected a massive steel fence around his house to stop bricks etc being thrown at his house.
Won't stop him being stabbed if he gets found guilty though would it.

The mail is wrong to print that story,regardless of wether he is found guilty by the courts or not the self appointed judge jury & executioners have already convicted him.
The self same people who will drink 10 pints of stella on saturday night,give someone a kicking for 'lookin at our lass' & then go home give their lass a kicking for being a tart.
But these guys are the protectors of our children so they must be alright.

He may well be guilty and if so I hope he rots in hell but up to now he hasn't been convicted of anything other than being a bit odd. I have to say that I was a touch horrified when i seen the front page of the Mail online. Not only was he named, his address was laid out for every self appointed vigilante to read. Whatever the verdict, his life is wrecked. He will now either be proven guilty or be deemed to have got away with it.

This is just wrong. No names in sex cases should be published until someone is proven guilty.

I may be wrong, but I think in rape cases, the accuser can maintain their anonymity even if the accused is found not guilty...I think the accuser is only named if the accusation is malicious or false.

Aah but now we're getting into legal niceties and sementics; you start off assumed by the law to be innocent and remain so unless proven guilty. This is why the phrase is 'not guilty' or in other words, no charge proven therefore he remains innocent.

I don't see that, there would always be the Charlie Bronson's of this world wanting to sort him out. Found innocent, not guilty whatever. In some minds he would always have got off. The names should not be published - end of!

Not sure what to make of that to be honest...if there was a potential paedophile living in the vicinity it's definitely the noble thing to do to warn folks with kids - but the flip side is, if he's innocent then he's going to be a prisoner in his own home. In things like this, it's the same as being accused of witchcraft in the middle ages. Either way the bloke can't ever return there once this is all over.
