Is anyone else fed up with the constant songs about Darlo. Last night we consistently got the "Stand up if you hate Darlo" "If I had the wings of a sparrow" and shoot the Darlo scum".

Now I'm all for songs and showing support for the lads when they are playing, and I can even sing along with songs directed at the opposition, and their fans, as in "your not famous anymore" etc directed at Leeds. But I find this obession, and I will call it an obsession at a club who are no longer in our division and really no longer our rivals some what boring to say the least. If we were playing them then I could see the point.

In my opinion it's now time to move on and get behind the boys with songs like "2 little boys", danny Wilsons blue and white army" or simply blue and white army etc. Just my opinion but what do other's think.

We have had a few chants over the years for players. I'll show my age here.

We got Willie Willie Waddle on the wing on the wing could be changed to we got Willie Willie Boland on the pitch

He's here he's there he'e every F****** where Billy Ayre not sure we can change that.

Could try hay hay with the Monkey when he scores.

It just as I said in original post it time to move on.

Come on Elvisaintdead get composing for the current player's.

I mentioned this to the lads last night. The songs on the whole are embarrasing. I never stand up when the Darlo song is sung as it's no longer relevant.

We must be the second worst in the entire football league structure when it comes to making up songs. It's either songs nicked from other teams or out of date garbage. Only Boro are worse. Come on Boro etc.

Am I getting old?

Did that group (who seemed to go down by one about every three minutes last night) in the top right corner come to support Pools last or to antagonise stewards? Singing "stand up if you hate Darlo" is not supporting Pools, neither is signing anti Leeds songs, or pathetic songs to wind up stewards. FFS get behind the lads on the pitch.

I'd rather they stayed quiet than embarrassed us like last night. When they sang proper songs getting behind the team did you notice how the majority of people stopped cringing and actually joined in?

Didn't you find it embarrassing? How many of the chants were aimed at getting behind the team, the whole reason you're called a supporter? Do you reckon the lads went up an extra gear when the Pools fans were singing (to Leeds fans) "You're support is fooking shite" or "Leeds are going bust". That's not getting behind the team, it might have been funny a couple of times a year ago, but for 45 minutes last night?? Fook the stewards... watch the match!
