I can genuinely agree with most of that, if not all. The collision with Sweeney needed bringing up though, that looked absolutely brutal.

Jones and Brown were the soul of the team, Collins took two throw-ins from my knowledge and didn't look a thing like the Collins I know and love. Big shame all-in-all

ALB 4 sctatchinghead

How he can be blamed for the 2nd and third goal is beyond me. There winning goal was a fluke, he ment to cross that all day.

Yeah it is just unlucky that we have shipped 3 goals about 3 times in the last 2 weeks or so..... He doesn't make enough saves or take enough command, he's not good enough if we want to be successful, if we released him he would really struggle to get a club in the football league......

ok i take your point the ten outfield players are all successful and our keeper is to blame for us letting the other team score against us. scratchinghead

I saw him play well too Mr Muts, and make several saves. He had to with that Keystone Cop like defence in front of him.

I suppose the keeper is an easy target for some of the more intellectually challenged if we're conceeding goals, especially if they don't want to criticise their favourite players who happen to form our so-called defence. We always look more secure at the back when Clark plays centre half, but we'll never have a solid defence at this level until we sign a pair of full backs.

It is quite funny really,

People complained at the fact Wilson was playing Sweeney at right back and demanded Mcunnie be played there, Now he is playing there he seems to be the get out of jail whine for every defeat and gives the whiners a chance to have a dig at him.

I do agree he wasnt very good last night but you all asked for it and it hasnt worked the last few games, It is the same with ALB - Some of you are a fickle lot you know and never pleased. The last time i checked we were Hartlepool United not Chelsea - We live within our means and to take the lead twice at Elland Road against a very very good Leeds outfit ( even if it was fringle players ) Shows great character from our lads. I am proud of our team tonight and you should all be instead of looking for a player to single out and be-little, the PLAYER you cried out for.

If our defenders did not make mistakes now and again they would not be at Pool's but you also forget Leeds conceded 2 goals too, infact they have conceded every game but 1 this season and you dont hear there fans whine about it. We are lucky to have players such as Jones, Porter & Brown so just enjoy these good times.. and stop trying to find faults with a performance against a team which to be honest will not be in League 1 next season.

Bring on Leicester! rolf rolf

Another drama queen exit. We lost to Leeds reserves geddit? Thats Leeds United - third division team, same as us. We lost not because they were world class, we lost because we do not have any full backs in the team and that I'm afraid comes down to the manager. As long as he insists on playing midfielders in defence we will contine to leak goals like Darlo on a bad day.

I do concur that we (well at least me) has suggested that McCunnie should be given games at right back. However the last two matches at least have shown he is no good.

Mr MadJohn was right about him all along! :uhoh:

Both of our fullbacks were dogshit last night.

Leeds had free reign down our wings and made mugs out of our defence.

Although according to some bards that is all the fault of the goalkeeper.

alb 4 made one good save with his legs in the second half, but probably could have done better with the second goal and was beaten by a shot at his near post for the winner that i would have saved.

I dont know how anyone can blame Arran... There goals were down to a mixture of quick attacking and poor defending. Both Collin's and Nelson were shocking, it could have been 5-2 by the end. He made at least 2 top class saves and for anyone to say they'd reather have udtz in the team is just idiotic.

I honestly think Leeds were the better side by far, they looked premiership class at times, it was just their finishing that let them down... beckford's in partcular.

The leeds fans were shite, we made it a cup tie... every supporter there should be proud of themselves.. It was the loudest we've been since Cardiff. rolf

Oh well... Theres always the FA Cup

All I saw was the goals on sky. Two proper goals for Pools and three comedy goals for them.
Just about par for the course. Great attack lousy defence.
I don't need to see the other 88 minutes.

what did porters goal look like on tv? it seemed pretty special from where we were sat.

It looked terrific, but for all the praise it got from the commentator it could have been an own goal fumbled into the net by the goalie from a back pass.
