I would have thought either Fagan and/or Hull would be lodging a complaint to the police for assault or GBH. As a minimum Guthrie should be fined an amount equivalent to Fagan's wages whilst he's on the sidelines. I sense that a call to Accident Lawyers Are Us is necessary. The Terry decision and now this one show that the FA have got no grip on managing the game.

Or maybe one of the senior pros at Newcastle, such as Barton, could take Guthrie under his wing and show him how to control his temper

Guthrie had two bites at the cherry so to speak which compounded the offence in my eyes ...the only thing more sickeneing was that some of the home fans chose to give him a round of applause.

Guthrie basically attempted to end Fagan's career because he was being outshone by a superior player.
Fagan was having a blinder & Guthrie didn't like it.
