It's alright, I've found out - they have no shirt sponsors because it is illegal in France to advertise alcohol.

Apparently it is because France do not allow the marketing of alcohol.

I'm lyin' here on the floor where you left me
I think I took too much
I'm crying here, what have you done?
I thought it would be fun

I can't stay on your life support, there's a
shortage in the switch,
I can't stay on your morphine, cuz its making me
itch
I said I tried to call the nurse again but shes
being a little bitch,
I think I'll get outta here, where I can

Run just as fast as I can
To the middle of nowhere
To the middle of my frustrated fears
And I swear you're just like a pill
Instead of makin' me better, you keep makin' me
ill
You keep makin' me ill

I haven't moved from the spot where you left me
This must be a bad trip
All of the other pills, they were different
Maybe I should get some help

Is it anything to do with the Gallic postponement of social drug advert licensing?

Hey, I only needed an answer to one question - one post was all it needed.

It was the others that decided to make a joke out of it.

The European rugby cup is called the "H" Cup instead of the Heineken cup in France and in all the publicity there's just the stylised initial letter of Heineken with no mention of the name in full.

However, last May's final, which featured Toulouse against some Paddy outfit, wasn't played in France was it. So there were Heineken adverts splashed about all over the place - but it was still broadcast in France wannit. Dunno how that worked.

The French also got bombed out of the GP circuit once for not allowing drink adverts at their race-track-in-the-middle-of-nowhere.

Hoy!!! Nevers is a great little town! Didn't that sort from Lourdes, the one who drank mud and took hallucinogenic drugs, live there?

P.S., I just happened to see Gerrard's first goal on the news. He might be a cock and useless for England an' all tha' but that was absolutely stunning. It ranks right up there just behind Eifion's goal against Darlo.
