Who dislikes Monkhouse? Who claims that Robson offers more?

He's on his period again I think

It was irony.

I think he is utter gash but didnt realise at the time that its another goal he is at fault for.

Surely that depends upon the question.

If the question was, for example, "Name a goalkeeper currently on Pools books who is better than Janice Cockfingers", then surely Lee-Barrett would be the answer?

Id prefer Budtz. Honestly.

They both cause major fuck ups and at fault for several goals but at least Budtz could pull off some decent saves now and again unlike Barret who cant even save ones straight at him half the time.

Anyway, as regards goalies, did anyone see Swindon's man on the Championship on Sunday?

ALB should have saved the goal, it wasn't a particularly powerful header and it wasn't near the corner it seemed to go through his hands, however this came at 4-0 at 0-0 after two minutes when it mattered he made a very good save so we'll let him off.

Tree, words fail me rolfl He isn't brilliant but howay man!!!

ALB looked unsighted by Humps for their goal.
Mackay's goal was a top class finish.

ALB is stood still as cross comes in. If Humphreys is in ALBs line of sight then Alb should move into a position he can see the ball.

Its what keepers do.

Or should.

With you there on that. We still need a full back who can defend. Has Rob McKinnon got a son who plays like he did?

tree your a fucking idiot. how on earth did he have time to predict exactly where the ball would drop, then decide richie would be in the way, THEN decide 'ooh richie might be in the way', then move into a different position to save the ball?

who do you think he is... Neo from the matrix?

the truth is when owusu headed the ball, A to the L to the B was unsighted and had no time to react. it was NOBODYS fault (apart from the defender who allowed him a free header in the first place.

its one thing not rating a player. but to blame him for every little thing because you dont rate him is pathetic.

sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

The same way keepers predict where the ball will drop when they decide whether to come claim a cross or not. You judge the flight and speed of the ball.

Oh and "fucking idiot"? Please read bunker rules about personal abuse.

Very very late with this but just got back from Leeds - by the way Glasvegas at the Cockpit last night were fecking awesome ...

First game for a while for me, thought Pools were good against a very poor side - if a poorer defence plays at VP this season I'll be shocked.

ALB 7 - OK but a post, bar and what looked like a penna could have embarrased him. Good shot stopper but needs to come off his line a lot quicker.
McCunnie 4 - Pants. Never ever will that bloke be a right back. Got skinned several times, lost position a lot. Crap.
Humphreys 7 - Dependable, great work rate.
Nelson - 7 OK, but looked kinda jittery at times, as did Collins
Collins - 8 Looks quality, but not convinced that against better opposition they'd get found out. Decent right back as a loan signing would sort the whole thing out tho
Sweeney - 9 Awesome. Fast, closed down well, great tackles, first thought always positive. Never move him from right midfield Danny, ever.
Liddle 6/7 - Very disappointed really. Always looked for an easy negative ball. Not quick. Effective but not a good game
Jones 6 - Thought he was poor. Looked for the ball but did feck all when he got it. If Tough Tackling Willie Bolland had been playing I think the score would have been a lot higher.
Monkhouse 8 - Good work rate, bit of a fecking lightweight at times tho
Porter 9 - Quality. Quick, looked for the ball, great runs.
Brown 9 - Bearing in mind I havent seen much of him, I think he is one of the best palyers I ahve ever seen in a Pools shirt. Reads the game superbly, great touch, blisteringly quick over 10/15 yards, always looking for goal. I could watch him all day and night.

One right back, one creative holding midfield player short of a very comfortable team, even tho the squad would be thin. Not sure of the keeper, not really a good game to judge him on.

If Brown and Ported had had more service with simple balls to feet from central midfield, it would have been a cricket score.

Thought VP was looking top - that pitch is immense given the weather of late. Got fecking soaking tho...

Im still finding it funny that some people laughed at me for suggesting Budtz was better back in September but now act like they preferred him all the time.

I slowly changed my mind but 5-6 weeks ago I decided I'd rather had Budtz in goal, he actually makes saves (with a healthy mix of howlers).

until he makes 3 huge mistakes and loses us 3 games, then we will all clamour for ALB to be re-instated. and so the circle begins again. Budtz was dropped for a reason, a very good reason first time round

Misterb-Budtz may well be at fault for 3 goals. ALB has been at fault for around 15 so I wont mind. Also in the time Budtz is at fault for 3 goals-he will actually make something called a SAVE or too. Something ALB knew fuck all about.

Something I could see in September has only came about 3 months later and only because of suspension. If ALB goes back in after his ban then Wilson is even more of a clueless ignorant fucking 'lovely lovely person' then I currently think.
