just managed to force myself to sit down and watch most of the game in cardiff on dvd. apart from the tears in my eyes and lump in my throat as big jon planted a fookin legendary goddamn header in the net, my other major thoughts were that no-one in the ground or commentary box or summarisers room, apart from gary birtles and the dog's cock of a ref thought that the 'penalty' was anything resembling that word. banghead

i know, i know.....it's old news and we would have got twatted in the championship, but you must realise i haven't been able to watch the game until now. confised sadx sadx

I still haven't watched it.

This may sound stupid, but I would have enjoyed getting twatted in the Championship. Just so I could say before I died we did actually play in the second tier of English football. Of course it would have been even better if we could have gone up, AND done well.

I watched it, i felt like i HAD to...

To exorcise the ghost if you like.

It didnt work however......i felt even worse having watched it, and confirming that it was NEVER EVER a penalty, never mind a sending off. sadx

Me too, I can see the whole thing up to that travesty of a minute when the grinning bastard holds that card up, then there's murder in my heart and I have to go and cool down. If I don't and it got to the bit where Mr Scott makes that speech, straight from the EUFA licence good loser publicity module, I'd probably throw the telly off the balcony and I don't want to test that theory.. confised

If I hadn't been amongst mates at Peterborough when he 'made amends' by giving us an equally dodgy penner thinking it would make up for it, I'd have been across that pitch to shake him warmly by the throat. As it was he wouldn't come closer than the 18 yard line.

He knew.

If we had won that match, what's to say IOR would have made the same decisions and investments?
Maybe we'd have had a dead good manager.

If anyone has a copy of the Play-Off Final on DVD (preferably with some sort of commentary), please PM me about it - thank you.

I don't think you'll find anyone on here with a copy.

Never even seen the highlights of the game. All I have are the memories of the day, and they'll stay with me till I die (or get Alzheimers... sctatchinghead )
