Do you like the cut of the pre-match jib?

I'll be watching or having text commentary on if it clashes with something else.

Lets hope we get them back for knocking us out of the Euros.

So the wembley fans annoyance with paying 60-70 quid for a ticket and venting there anger with the rubbish performances is to blame?

Not the players?

Lampard is terrible for england cos he's terrible for england, no other reason.

This current crop of players, minus a few newcomers and i'd say minus joe cole, have failed in 3 tournaments, and not even qualified for 1 other.

Capello should have came in and got rid of 75% of this squad, instead he just looks like a dark haired mclaren.

Why try out 4 captains then go back to the same one who was rubbish before?

I thought he might have had some balls - alas no. We were led to believe he was a single minded, hard man who wouldn't be swayed by reputations. Here we are with the same bunch of primadonnas and still no game plan that I can figure out. I will still watch it but I can't say I'm particularly thrilled at the prospect. yawn1

Don't know if this has been discussed before but I'd feckin love to see an England team picked from outside the prem play against the "first 11".... does anyone think they wouldn't win?!

Aye, I'll be watching it. I know they're primadonnas. I know they're spoilt bastards. I know they've all got too much money and expect to play. I know they're about as 'up for it' as the typical Pools interview but I'm English and I want England to win.

Playing very tidy first half. Walcotts goal was well taken and the rest of the team look solid. I was a bit worried though when I thought I seen Foley warming up.

I'm not a big fan of England at the moment, they have a lot to prove. Hopefully they will start proving themseles which they are doing.

Not watching the match but Croatia's manager is the most arrogant prick in the world and I'm loving the scoreline.

Croatia pull one back then Wallcott scores England's 4th.

Need one more to equal the Germany scoreline. Great display by England.

It should really be 5-0. Their goal shouldn't have been allowed and we had a perfectly good goal disallowed for reasons I still don't know.

Overall a very solid performance and a great result. Yes they had a man sent off but we were way better than them long before that.

Capello dun good.

Well i agree with Mr I. I enjoyed the game tonight cos England won and i always want England to win, at times they do my nut in cos they are sh** but i always want them to win, at times i scream at the telly cos they play so bad and they get paid so much but i always want them to win, so tonight i can relax and be happy cos they have played well and won

Don't forget the blatant penalty on Heskey, and that dirty bastard Simunic committed more bookable fouls than he did in the game Poll fooked up.

I thought Heskey was outstanding before all the superb football second half tonight, he generally plays when England play well (look back seven years and a game in Munich!!) He works his bollocks off for the team and holds the ball up, it's no coincidence that all the more talented players showed some worth tonight when they had such a foil.

Possibly against the odds the most enjoyable England performance I've ever watched. You do pretend not to care when England are shite but when you watch a game like that it gives you a real lift.

Oh and Capello picked the right team, well worth £6,000,000 a year!!

They've got to follow it up though but I do think we have a manger who will pick the best team and not necessarily the best individual players.

You just can't win with England can you...in a moment of madness I took them to win 3-1 at 40-1 with Ladbrokes then they go and spoil everything by getting a fourth! violin

The worst player for me tonight was the captain John Terry, he is so slow Richie Barker could give him 5 yards start and still beat him over 10, he defends sooooooo deep incase he gets caught for speed and his distribution makes Micky Nelson look like Franz Beckenbauer (it might be spelt like that!)

He was clearly carrying a knock when he got the wrong side of the lad late on at 4-1 up, in fact he went off a few minutes later. He was taken out of the game for the goal by a foul.

He is captain of a side who haven't lost at home for nearly five years in the league, and a side who have the best defence in the league. He might be a tosser but he is a very good centre back and certainly not one of Englands more over rated players. Only an England fan could come out with what you just have after such a victory!!

Its all about out opinions and i really dont rate him, i think Fedinand next to him as 5X a better footballer.

I know everyone cant be blessed with pace but apart from winning a few headers here and there i dont think he does much else , he probably will be shouting encouragement at his team mates throughout the game but is that enough to be England captain?

Surely to have that success at club and international level and captain both sides you have certain qualities, just look at Chelsea's defensive record!

He's a defender he wins most the headers and most the tackles, he has leadership and is an organiser also he can read the game. I have just described a centre back forget passing and was Bobby Moore quick? Ferdinand and Terry are just about the only true world class area of the England team, they'd get in just about every other team in the world.

Surely passing is a big part of being a top class footballer. When he goes to pass with his left foot,it takes him about 20 mins to get his body into position to play the ball.
And by the way that is another thing that bothers me with all footballers, how come when they train every day they cant kick with both feet, obviously they are going to have one stronger than the other but how come a lot of players will not even attempt to kick with their "wrong foot"?

On reflection I suppose England are always capable of pulling off results like this against anyone on the night. Invariably we do it when we are underdogs and our backs are against the wall. When we are expected to do it we never seem to have the correct mental attitude and struggle to raise our game.

From a selection point of view - we were better because we had some pace in the side for a change in Walcott and two central midfielders who complemented each other - one holding and one pushing on - in Barry and Lampard. Heskey and Rooney also played very well together, so well done Fabio clappp

Hang on hang on!! What have you been on? England were totally flattered by this scoreline. No way were they three goals better than the Croats.
Anyone would believe we'd run rings round them. Did we bollocks.
The officials were 100% on our side.
Heskey should have been booked for simulation with the penalty claim.
The sending off of their player was harsh - he was just clumsy.
At least one of Walcott's goals should have been disallowed for offside.
When Croatia finally decided to get their arses into gear they just walked through our defence for their goal.

England were average at best. They did not come up with one exciting piece of play in the whole game. Capello is gradually turning England into an Italian team, and we know how entertaining they are.

I beg to differ Mr Head - we had a perfectly good goal disallowed and their goal shouldn't have stood - most referees in Europe give a foul for a high foot when it is usually half the height of the one on Terry. Five-nil would have been a fairer reflection. Their 'star' players were anonymous and their manager has been brought back down to earth with a bump. The Croats were well beaten.
