Seeing as Wednesdays are dying on their arse how would Thursdays suit everyone?

I know Ripper and ptbap (plus myself some weeks) play on a Monday
Pools play on a lot of Tuesdays
Wednesdays are now dead
Fridays wouldn't be a sensible option IMHO and I wouldn't be too keen to play then.

So that leaves Thursdays.

I'm sure Trapper said he could play on Thursdays (it should be remembered Bunker 5aside was his idea) and I'm sure he would play regularly so thats another regular.

We could really do with everyone stating either way if this is a good night for everyone on this thread.....

Its sad that its got to this - its the same with my works game on a Wed night - when it 1st started there were people desperate to play every week - now we struggle to get 10. sadx

Have no regular commitments on Thursday nights. Would be fine for me.

Can I give my two penneth worth, does 9pm put people off? I know it's a bitch to get a regular time slot, I used to book the Millhouse back in the day and their limiting of bookings to a week in advanced doesn't make it any easier.

Wednesdays during the season have Champions League games and occassionally internationals, I'd rather have the excercise than watching tv 90% of the time like, but is that another reason?

Our Monday night game started at the Millhouse, on a Wednesday I think, but since the move and the fixed time slot, we rarely struggle to get a game. The players have obviously evolved quite a bit, that is also an option, I've not mentioned this game to Jason or Dave who regularly play on the monday night as I thought we were being strict about Bunker only contributors. But if we want a bigger pool I'm happy to invite them.

Personally I think the key is getting a regular group of reliable people, a fixed time slot and a fixed location, we are not too far from that surely. I missed last week through no fault of my own, I was working late and couldn't leave, I wasn't expecting to be here any later that 7pm, these things happen.

Not that I think I have to vouch for my reliability, but if I did, Ripper can comment on my attendance records on a Monday night.

[comment]I'm trusting that fooker to vouch for me, big mistake[/comment]

rolfl rolfl rolfl

Mr Bap always tell me if he can't make a Monday, in fact almost always tells me one way or the other, to the extent that when I hadn't heard from him this week and we had 7 confirmed I commented to Donkin that we'd definitely have 8 as Mr Bap would have told us if he hadn't been able to make it- lo and behold he was there as usual.

I would not have a problem with Thursdays, either now in my driving duties, or when I'm fit again.

The problems seem to have arisen when we lost our regular slot at Brinkburn, as ptbap said, numbers always seemed to hold up there.
