The plans in the Echo show...

1. A housing development for 160 houses.

2. A 100 bed hotel with conference and leisure facilities.

3. A pub, restaurant, tea and coffee house.

4 .A 12 lane ten pin bowling alley.

5. A nursery.

6. Eight 6 a side football pitches and a training pitch

7. ....and not forgetting the ....... car wash

No sign of a fourth division football club and room for it's 1500 fans then??

How I miss Feethams. As nice as the Arena is, it's no substitute for home.

Never mind Sarf, as soon as we've made our first visit and all returned home with a souvenir, it'll look more like the ramshackle environs of which you must all be familiar.

Why, I even know of a Poolie who's been challenged to bring out a urinal.

I remember going to Belgium with Seaton Holy Trinity FC one easter when I was a kid and from the outside of a nice cafe bar, they first nicked the chairs, came back for a couple of tables and were only arrested when they were trying to unscrew the blinds from the wall. Christ only knows how they thought they were going to get them home.
