If it's a proper freezer it'll be fine.

We have a chest freezer in the garage, meat will keep nice in it for a year and beyond.

If it's one of those ice box things above a little fridge it'll be off after a month or less.

just to put a nagging doubt in everyone's minds ..................if you've been away for a holiday and the power went off for a couple of days , then come back on again all before you returned home, how would you know?????........... all the meat would have defrosted and then re-froze when the power came back on..............

The clock on the alarm clock, the oven or the dvd recorder or such like would be flashing and needing reset.

aahh.....but I unplug all of those said items throughout the house before we go.....only the fridge and freezer stay plugged in.
Maybe an idea to leave the radio alarm clock plugged in then for such proof......I never thought of that......!!!!

If you're only leaving the alarm clock plugged in as a check you'd best make sure it's not got a battery backup thingy in it.

The oven is the easiest one to leave on cos if you were gonna cook the meat surely you'd have to look at the oven before doing so.
