I would say that most football fans from Borer tend to side with Darlo rather than us. The further north you go (i.e around Sunderland & Newcastle areas) then they are probably a bit more inclined towards us. The reasons for this are probably geographic as Darlo are more associated with 'Teesside' than we are.

Anyway, they are welcome to each other - they have a lot in common.

Is that whay he is President of HUFC disabled supporters assoc????

Working for and being paid by a Darlington based radio station he is unlikely to say Pools are much better than Darlo is he? He would soon be out of a job if he did. Give the guy a break will ya!!!

..or is it just a case of saying the right things when you're a 'guest' in someone elses house, actually, he wasn't wrong though was he about attendances.

Give over man, he's writing for his audience. Besides, he's always been leaned towards Darlo, difference is it's an empathy with them rather than being a fan. Nor incidentally does he have the hatred of us normally associated with a proper Loid.

If he has a soft spot for both of us why would he need to say that in that way?

Did someone hit you with the denseness hammer today or what?
He's writing for a Darlo site. He can't go extolling Pools' praises without playing it down somehow to soften the blow.

To be fair, that's taken out of context.
He cllearly says that the lower crowds are worse by Pools because we're in a higher division.
