I had words with him during the game, my young uns used to stand behind the goal as we all did, not only did he move the seats in, they painted them yellow lines all over the shop and there was no where for the young uns to see the game from.

I won't say who I think it was against yet in case I'm totally wrong :uhoh: but we haven't played them very often.

Reading at home, 1-1 draw. Saville equalised with a late penner.
The very last home game with the Rink End terrace was against Bournemouth, and fittingly Pools won it with a goal in the Rink End net in the last minute 1-0, Johnrose scored with a snap shot from the edge of the 18 yard box. It ended Bournemouth's play off hopes.
It was also the last time I had a pint in the Greyhound pub before a game at Pools. Good views out over the Vic from there - a few Bournemouth fans were in as well.
Me and my mate got a petition up against the club putting seats in, but obviously the money was already winging its way to Mr Gibson so there was no chance of a reprieve.

basically everyone who was used to going in the Rink End, had to squash in the Mill House terrace so the queues were obviously much longer for that section of the ground. Bearing in mind there was no Clarence Road side, and the crowd was about 4,500, most of the crowd went through the same turnstiles!!!

aye, we beat Reading 2-0 at home, and also Fulham 2-0 all in the early part of the season, as well as a home draw with West Brom, later in the season a home draw with Stoke, and an away win at West Brom.
The following year we won away at Stoke and Fulham and Bolton - some cracking results for little old Hartlepool!!!!

In fact we also won away at Reading that 91/92 season. Shows how the fortunes of some of those clubs have turned upwards.
But the results should send out a warning to the likes of Leeds and Leicester - we've beaten this calibre of opposition before at this level - in fact including Sheff Weds we've beaten all of the big name clubs barring Leeds (and that was only through spawn), that I can remember us playing at League One level.
