After 3 games last season,

Swansea 10th 4 points Champions

Forest 18th 2pts Runners up

Doncaster 20th 1 pt 3rd and promoted via play off 's.

Orient 1st 9 pts finished 14th

Tranmere 3rd 6pts finished 11th

Luton 4th 6pts relegated (and even with pt deduction still relegated) before someone says that was the reason.)

Yeovil 6th 6pts finished 18th

Carlisle were 2nd and were only team to stay in the promotion/play off position.

So lets not get to the doom and gloom position just yet. Unlike those already(or is that still) blaming Wilson.

So we should lose our third game then? Maybe that can be Wilsons excuse this time?

And we were fifth top, so what the fcuk does any of your post actually prove

PS

Donny, Forest and Swansea didn't have Foley and Robson on their respective benches, did they???

Not a bad idea, though I presume you mean 4th as Swansea did, they then dropped to 12th. Still went up as champions. Forest only drew stayed 18th only Doncaster who ended up in the top 3 won there 4 th game. So I can even be optimistic if we lose on saturday. rolfl rolfl thrilled

That apart from 1 of the top 6 after 3 games only 1 stayed there till the end of the season and there no need to be gloomy as of yet.

I know we were 5th seemed pointless stating the bleeding obvious.

Oh do give over you lot. We're a lower middle order team of journeymen with the occasional starlet. We'll flatter to decieve now and then and put in a god awful performance now and then, the rest will be bearably average.

The optimists look starry eyed at the play offs and the pesimists look glumly at the drop zone. The truth is that we'll scrape together enough points to finish lower middle order.

I'm leaning towards the dowdy mob, we've as much chance of going up as Gary Glitter has of getting a job on childline.

Im neither looking at play off's or promotion,I tend to agree with you Mr I. My belief is that we are not as bad as many seem to think we are. I will be happy with some improvement on last season, though from what I've seen so far we will surprise some teams, and a lot more of our own supporter's

"pop" :laugh:
but yeah, know your place and worship me!

just saying this optimist/pessismist stuff was as shite last season as it is now and I fear the prospect of it taking over the bunker again and eing its downfall.

but hey, if you want to be one of the reasons this board could be potentially ruined, carry on....

anyone who genuinely believes this pools team is capable of finishing where swansea and forest did last season is probably insane.

a truly bonkers thread.

I never said we would finish where Swansea or Forest finished last season. The point I was making, though it may have been badly is that if their fans had adopted the attitude of some of ours they would have been calling for their managers head after 3 games. Now some may well have been doing so but the boards of the clubs mentioned, stuck with them.

Now some may seem to think that putting optimistic postings may kill this board, I on the other hand think logging on to read negative postings time after time, various threads calling for Wilson's head will do exactly the same. Now I'm happy not to post optimistic threads if all the negative poster's do the same.

I am now resigned totally to the fact he is not the man for the job, but there's no point in me going on about it because there's no point now, it's just a matter of waiting for me ...the team is little changed from last year except disturbingly Foley and Robson were found in the skip and Danny has decided he can 'rebuild' them and make them 'work properly' ... I reckon the lower mid table doldrums beckon.

Quite a claim given some of Kentish's recent efforts

Even worse than the one were he asked someone to keep him the Northern Echo pull out (that only existed in the lads head) about the Darwin case!?

True although I think he is mentally challenged to put it a nice way so we can let him off.
