I also have a cynical outlook on the hypocrocapig that is Jade Goody's cancer. Can I firstly say that I would not wish cancer on anyone as I'm sure it's touched nearly every person on this board somehow and it's an evil, evil disease.

As for Goody this horrible creatures 'career' was over with all that celebrity big brother race row stuff. We haven't seen her swine faced mug on the box since. She can't have earned even close this year to what she had in the years after gaining her 'celebrity status' She probably needs cash. Hey presto she goes on the Indian version of big brother (to revive her career) then uses it as a vehicle to announce to the world that she has cervical cancer (to revive her career). She'd have been brave had she dealt with the news and a more dignified manner and fought to disease privately with the support of her loved ones.
