cracking photos on there. I really enjoy looking back at things like that. It's things which were in my parents and grandparents' lifetime, and the everyday things they took for granted, but are now gone forever.
It's fascinating and sad all at the same time.
I myself can remember some of those bus shelters and buses like it was yesterday, and it's sobering to think of how much time has passed since they were in service!!!

Jesus I feel old!

I remember the buses shown from the sixties onwards and even the ones in the fifties were only about ten years before the likes of a lot of us were born.

In fact I was thinking recently, seventeen years ago it was 1991. Not that long ago to most of us. Trouble is that its exactly the amount of time between WW2 ending and my being born. Its about the same for the likes of Parmo, Elvis and many others.

We're getting old guys.

it's getting harder to not think about it - when things like my ex-girlfriend's daughter, who was 3 when I met my ex, is now 21 and on the drink when I am!!!!

I had a somewhat rude awakening some years ago.

When I was 17 I was out on a new years eve and got off with an older woman. She was very old being 28  I didn't leave her house until January 2nd.

Years later, I was about 30, I took a girl home who was about 21ish, guess who her mum was. Oh yes, very embarrassing.

That is absolutely fantastic. I could look at local history stuff like that for hours.
