Did consider Butlins but Gambia seems better. It's full of darkies though.

Isn't it The Gambia where 60 odd year old widowed grannies go to get bucked senseless by young black tribal chiefs wanting a better life here in the U.K.?

Or the other option (Butlitz) you could get the 18 stone single mothers with 6 kids from the West Midlands who just want to ride that nights snakebites off.

Probably.....

It's hot, its an enclosed resort, there's just me and two kids and a big pile of books. I'm qute looking forward to taking them round some of the villages in the interior and telling them to think themselves lucky though.

I met a gadgie ( through work) who was from the Gambia worked for their gov minister for health, smashing feller and boy do they love their footy out there! He told me that in his village ( and surrounding villages) every one was a Man utd or for some bizzzzzarrrrre reason Newcastle

Any way Instead of having a formal meeting, I took him down to pools where he cheerfully tucked in to corn beef pie chips and mushy peas( top scran in there like and the home made pies are ellish) anyway, then took him round the ground got his picture taken with CT, Mickey Barron and then Russ Green gave him some club stuff for his office like a smart pen mug and club tie and some stuff for his kids like an Hangus and baseball caps etc etc.

This bloke was absolutely overwhelmed and told me that on his return to the Gambia the first thing he was going to do was instruct his village to stop supporting anyone else and only support pools!!!

He has invited me over to for a holiday anytime I want as well!

So Mr I , you might just get recognised if you are wearing your colours!

Oh and one of the nearby countries, forget what its called now, but their National team strip is pools old one!

The country who plays in pools colours BTW is Guinea Bissau and that was down to Russ Green

Smashing lads who couldn't speak a word of English! Godwin Antwi did a bit of interpretation as he speaks Spanish or Portuguese which these did. I also had them at my house for something to eat as my nephew speaks Spanish/Porto as well and despite efforts their diet started edging toward,,,pie chips and mushy peas! They peed themselves laughing the first time they saw the peas, couldn't work out what to do with them :laugh:

Thing is tho all he could tak about was women and footy

Funny how they enjoyed his patter
