It's ok mate. Two free pairs of jeans if you buy a shirt isn't to be sniffed at.

I'm not really keen on Fred Perry clobber but it's horses for courses. I prefer Box

My mam and dad went last year and absolutely loved it, they are thinking about going back this december.

If you have any more questions Mutters I will ask them for you on Saturday and tell you their answers on Sunday.

I know that they took a few old football shirts with them and gave them out to waiters on their resort, they said that you would have thought they had given them a months salary, they were then well looked after while they were there

i've been - spent a fortnight there at the end of 2006. did a week travelling around the island and then spent a week in a resort in a place called varadero.

overall had a cracking time and my only complaint is a bit of a funny one - but the food was generally shoite - either eating in our "4 star" hotel or in restaurants when we were travelling round. one lunchtime i did two laps of the buffet looking for something which i wanted to eat - couldn't see owt so got p*ssed instead given it was all inclusive!

varadero could probably do with a bit of investment - seems like it was built in the 80's and had only a few licks of paint since is quite dated. but the beaches are amazing and the weather was great too. my favourite part of the holiday was the travelling round, it's such an interesting and beautiful place, bizarre/refreshing to not see advertising all over the place - the only adverts you'll see are for the communist party.

in terms of money then someone told me to take $ as it was a strong currency over there. bollocks! they didn't accept it when were there. there are 2 currencies of cuban pesos, one is a tourist currency - and to be honest i just got mine over there - and the other is what the locals are paid in and they use in the shops (which don't have a lot in them to be honest).

You will love it !!! Nice people , the majority are not that well off but nearly everyone works and can read and write and most young people are intelligent thanks to the socialist education system over there.

Complete opposite to Hartlepool then located in one of the worlds richest countries.
