Computer Help Needed!!!!

I've got videos on my Camera....(AVI's)....but when I've transferred them onto my PC the picture won't come up but the sound does when they are playing!!!! banghead

They've always worked in the past!!!! confised

Any ideas as to what's gone wrong????

I suspect your computer is missing the required "Codecs" to load the Videos

When you say the picture isnt loading? Is that in Windows Media Player? With just a black screen and sound?

Try a Codec pack from http://www.free-codecs.com/ download the "XP Codec Pack" from the left hand side menu on there

If it doesnt work, Take the Codec pack straight off your PC by going to Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs and remove "XP Codec Pack" from that list

I concur with Mr Stu, sounds like a codec issue to me too.

There is a codec called k-lite which usually sorts out just about every problem like this out, try downloading that Mutters

This is what program I use when I get either sound but no picture or picture with no sound, another cracking freeware program with a crappy name.

It runs the video and tells you exactly what is needed to perfect sound and vision.
