Do you agree with the Licensing thing?

I think its a bit silly and pointless with the 3 year contracts!

I just dont agree with contracting a club to a league for a set period, if it happenend in football it would destroy the game, for 2 years you could mess about and in the 3rd year actually try to maintain the status of a top flight club.

Pointless and annoying

Did Hull get 2 teams in because of the lower crime rate and utopian society?

I've no idea who the Celtic Crusaders are. Irish? Welsh? Breton?

In the case of the Catalan Dragons I think it was only fair to give them a guarantee of three years in the league. You can't expect to invite the French into your league and have them gear themselves up for the competition only for them to be slung out after a first unsuccessful season. The whole idea was to to stimulate RL in France to rise back to something like its previous level so GB doesn't have to cross half a world to get any serious competition.

Having said that, they should remain an exception.

Welsh they are.

If they aint good enough and they are relegated thats no-one elses fault is it.

The thing is there's no formal structure for them to get promoted back up again because they don't play any British clubs!

Super League wanted French participation but they weren't going to get it unless they gave new teams the chance to bed in.
And since the Dragons have finished respectively bottom, tenth, and now third you have to say the RL's plan has been largely vindicated.
But now they are bedded in I agree they should have to stay their on their own merits, as should all the others.

are they all Dragons then? They should have to dodge flame throwers from the sidelines as they run up the pitch, just for authenticity.

It could be a good idea in principle, it means that more home grown younger players will get a chance to play instead of older foreigners especially at clubs who would usually be fighting relegation who bring in the more experienced players in to try to stay up
