For me it's friendlies first, speculation later.

That's how Neale Cooper sorted things out in no time flat.

ALB

McCunnie (But will probably be Sweeney)
Collins
B Clark
Humphs

Sweeney (Dont know who if Sweeney is at right back)
Jones
Liddle
Monkhouse

Brown
Barker (Porter wants away so why play him (I Heard he complained about being treat like a slave))

I'd like to see Matty Tymon have an extended run in the first-team this season.

I've watched the bairn develop (even though I'm only 23 myself) for the last few seasons in the youth team and the reserves and he's been in barnstorming form, actually improving every year. He'll make the step up soon enough if we're patient I promise you.

Other than that, I hope Ritchie Jones turns out to be the next Paul Dalton (fingers crossed he stays put though) and that Mackay begins to develop into the player we all hope - and deep down know - that he can be...

I'm right behind the lads this year. Blood, sweat, tears and beers...

Give it some! rolf

For me...

GK Lee-Barrett
RB McCunnie (if we can't sign a new one)
LB Humphreys (if we can't sign a new one)
CB Clark
CB Collins
RM Sweeney
LM Monkhouse
CM Liddle
CM Humphreys if we can sign a left back, maybe Power or Jones if not (depending on what they're like when we see them)
CF Porter
CF Brown

If I saw a starting line up like that I'd be excited pre-match as opposed to the dread that often accompanied team announcements last season.

My XI

GK Lee-Barrett
RB McCunnie (unless someone else comes in)
LB Humphreys (unless someone else comes in)
CB Collins
CB Clark
RW My major problem position. Sweeney isn't good enough to play there, Brown is wasted there and Foley is all pace, no end product. I hope we can get it sorted.
CM Power/Jones
CM Liddle
LW Monkhouse
CF Porter
CF Brown

I'd be surprised if Tymon stepped up this year, I've seen him on a few occasions and I don't think he is technically good enough for this standard. I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong however. I think Mackay may get found out also. I'd love to see what Rowell can do, and I hope Martin Young at least gets a chance to prove himself somewhere along the line this year.

Then played Scott Walker at Barnsley.............admittedly in the same game that Hugh the Hammer made his debut.

Which ever way you dress that side up its p*ss poor, crap goalie, weak defence, injury prone midfield lacking goals( brown excepted) and a half decent front two. Its a relegation team, anywone with an ounce of intelligence can see that.
