Who is your money on for the League 1 title this season?

No reason why we can't do it or win Play-Offs - only eight minutes away three years ago.

Let's see if we can lay that ghost to rest this season.

I've gone for Peterborough. As Swansea showed last season, this league can be bought.

I admire your optimism. I think its wildly mispaced but you can't knock it.

Seen as they're starting on 0 points this year I reckon Leeds will piss it.

Colchester have spent some cash, Peterborough and MK Dons could be a force seen as they have spending power.

I think in the style of the Wendies and Forest Leicester might have to spend more than one year down here, everyone will be looking forward to a game at the Walkers.

Not sure about Leeds, they had an exceptional start last season remember then faded away to nothing. I don't see anything has changed massively down there so I expect them to continue where they left off and make the play offs.

Thanks for asking the question. After studying all those teams, I don't see anything to cause dismay.
There's a place there for Pools, provided of course we get the formula right - and that's a big "provided".

If Leeds get a good start, they'll romp away with it - start poorly, then the fans will get at them and will have to look at the play-offs.

Having looked at the list, I've decided I have no idea, and if it isn't going to be Pools, I quite honestly couldn't care less about which one of the other 23 it is going to be.

and finally without a doubt the WORST BET OF ALL TIME. luton at 33/1 to win league 2. ffs they should be 30000/1.

Surely the bookies are just covering for the chance that they might get the points back?

Mind based on Lutons performance at the Vic last season 33/1 if they started even would be one of the worst bets of all time!

Just goes to show how things look different from the outside. The Scunthorpe forum is one of the gloomiest places on the web right now. They are seemingly convinced they are heading for consecutive relegations. confised

I voted for Scunthorpe as well but maybe not after reading your comments. I don't fancy Leeds and I don't think McAllister will last the season. Leicester will also find it tough in this division. It is usually someone who you don't expect - on reflection it could be the Posh if their momentum continues...

bristol rovers as lively outside bets for me(at least for a top 3)
difficult to see beyond Leeds though.

I've gone for Leicester- too much bargaining power for everyone else when it comes to buying players. Even Leeds won't have their financial clout I believe. I'd be very surprised if that's not the top two.
P/boro have money but they'll get nowt at Elland Road or Walkers Bowl, the same as the rest of us small clubs - and based on crowds over the past 5 years they are smaller than Pools!!!! They carry no "favouritism" as the big clubs have with officials - and I know what I'm talking about here!!!!
Scunthorpe's achievement 2 years ago wasn't given the recognition it fully deserved by the national media - it was a mammoth effort to beat Bristol City and Forest off to the title.

We have Danny Wilson in charge these days. THIS is the reason we wont get promoted let alone finishing as champions!

Well it certainly makes interesting reading now.

You and I were nearly right with Peterborough Mr I, and those tipping Leeds to walk it were a bit wrong!

Mr Fireball seemed to have got Division 4 pretty much cock on but had a right balls up when predicting our division.
