Now that is what you call a nice touch!!!!

That second badge is stunning. There is no way that Pools would ever achieve that standard though as they would no doubt ask some half blind schoolkid to design it rather than pay a proper designer. You have to remember that we are talking about the club who get a bunch of chavs to paint the admission prices above the gates freehand without even using a stencil or painting the footballers on the cyril knowles stand using the largets possible brushes thus meaning that half the wall ends up covered with paint.

That new badge is fookin shite.....it's a tacky piece of kitsch,... the sort of thing the Beckhams would have for a coat of arms..you have got to be having a laugh. ..JEEEEEEZ I can't believe you said that..is your house like Brighton Pavillion?

BLAND, BLAND, BLAND.....a shirt that is neutral and serves no other purpose than to accentuate the sponsors logo...Pools are blue and white..it's the shirt that makes the statement of what you are, the shorts and socks are mere accessories. That shirt is like any club, anywhere, any pub , any town...I thought we'd learnt that much from the similar shirt in the 2003-4 season, but at least that had thin blue lines......NAH...it's not Pools.

The old badge is QPR.... that's the point. The new thing looks like a wallpaper logo in the lounge of a sink estate pub in Basildon after they've just decorated it..it's a piece of airbrushed tat...words can't begin to describe the cheapness of it...it's not QPR

most expected they would go with a strip that mirrored the very 1st original strip.....and thats what we have!

are you saying you would have went for a different option? i personally like it and will be adding it to my rather large credit card balance

The new Chelsea....

"The sky's the limit for Queens Park Rangers after the Coca-Cola Championship club yesterday signed a record £7 million, three-year sponsorship deal with Gulf Air.

QPR will be paid £1 million next season by the Bahrain national carrier in return for displaying the Gulf Air logo on their shirts, and if they are promoted to the Barclays Premier League, they will bank about £6 million over the next two seasons. Five years ago, JD Sports paid £37,000 a year to sponsor QPR and before yesterday, Birmingham City's £500,000 deal with F&C Investments was the most lucrative in the second tier of English football."

Most 'original' strips in those days were white. it was cheaper to make, we are now associted with blue and white stripes, but of course the market for another blue and white shirt won't be as big as that for one which is totally different will it?...In those days they also had rickets, polio, T.B and the workhouse, so if we're gonna be authentic we should all get one or even two of those illnesses..but no shirt as they didn't have them then did they....that's if we're gonna be totally authentic that is

Absolute fookin' genius ... putting blue and white horizontal bands on the badge to evoke ... the blue and white hoops on the shirt (just in case no one noticed them on the shirt like).
Now all they have to do is remove the hoops from the shirt to stop them clashing with the badge.

Did anyone notice they'd also nicked part of the Pools badge to put on their new one?

Improvement on the badge , but still a cheap and nasty look about it with no marks for innovation.

Are people not allowed to wear the new bloody shirt now?

and that makes you a w**ker if you do?

I guess you buy clothes and wait 15 weeks to wear them eh cos your so cool?

Doesnt make you a wanker at all. Putting the strip on the second you buy it on the first day and walking about thinking your cool and the best fan ever does make you a wanker, yes.

i think Mr Hamster is going a tad over the top but come on we all know the type that he is referring to....

The ones who will take a day off work and want to be first in the queue at the club shop so they can tell people they were the first to get it. The ones who will put the shirt on and insist on leaving the club shop with it in. The ones who strut round the town centre in their new shirt with that smug 'look at me' face. The one's who will stand in the beer gardens showing off their new top, pint in one hand Pools carrier bag containing their shirt they left the house in the other. The ones who will get a second days wear out of it without washing it just so they can milk some more attention with the 'is the new Pools top?' questions people ask - we all know the type......

at least it's a pools shirt there doing it with, 10 years ago it may not have been.

The more pools shirts you see around town the better

And "doing it" with who or what?

That badge is quality. Very striking and traditional and slides into place with the Queens Park part of the clubs name.

Ours is ok but i thought we might have had a new one for the centenary.

I really don't have a problem with people buying new clothes and wanting to strut around in them. And if they make a statement (as a Pools top obviously does) then so much the better.

If that irks you then quite honestly I think you're a bit sad.

No no no, you don't understand; there's no fixed date: you leave it in the bag until you've seen someone standing in a beer garden wearing one, then you're clear to go home and put yours on.

Sorry, you're not making this clear.

What about if I've already seen someone put the shirt on in the shop (god forbid)? Do I still have to wait till I have seen someone standing in a beer garden wearing one before I can wear mine?

No, no, no! People can't strut around impressing people in the shop 'cos there are new kits as far as the eye can see, so the shop doesn't count.
It has to be a beer garden and the wearer has to look smarmy otherwise leave it in the bag. Rules is rules.

put a tiny one on one of Mr Bus's garden gnomes first, and send it abroad to have its picture taken. When the photos are developed it'll be alright to wear yours.

Different rules may apply.
