Aside from the obvious ones, these tunes are complete pearlers imo...

Lorelei - Cocteau Twins
Just Like Heaven - The Cure
Lips Like Sugar - Echo & The Bunnymen
April Skies - The Jesus And Mary Chain
Walkin' With Jesus (Sound Of Confusion) - Spacemen 3
Crash - The Primitives
Unbearable - The Wonder Stuff
Obscurity Knocks - Trashcan Sinatras (used to cover this in my Mr Dog days)
Vapour Trail - Ride
Sight Of You - Pale Saints (superb song and the album The Comforts of Madness is one of my all time favourites)
For Love - Lush
Pearl - Chapterhouse
(Don't Cut Me Down) Mary Quant In Blue - The Dylans
Stay Beautiful - Manic Street Preachers
Star Sign - Teenage Fanclub
Regret - New Order
Lazarus - The Boo Radleys
You're In a Bad Way - Saint Etienne
Wow & Flutter - Stereolab (superb!)
Speeed King - These Animal Men
Sleep Well Tonight - Gene (of it's time and brilliant)
Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space - Spiritualized (one of the best songs ever written)
Wide Open Space - Mansun
Untouchable - Rialto (prefer 5:19 but still class. They had 2 drummers you know!)

Decent compilation that one.

Only recognise a couple of the songs / groups there, Mutley.

Two great songs used by Labour though from 1997 here:

The Mighty Lemon Drops - I was well into them aged 15 or 16, had My Biggest Thrill twelve inch.
CD1 is the one for me

That is a seriously smart compilation. There's some real blasts from the past, makes me want to go through me collection of cassettes! Bleach and Swervedriver especially.
