He will get a suspended sentence so he wont even go to prison, he will be out in time for pre-season training with a tag on.

He's been going to alcahol and anger management classes, so the judge has took pity on him as it appears he is trying to deal with his problems, in real terms he basically beat the system, he will have sat there in a group, nodded his head, talked for a little bit, filled them full of rubbish just to get off

Some questions to ponder.....

a) Do footballers get special treatment?

b) Have we ourselves acted in such a way in the past? Or our friends? And if so do we think we should be locked up for longer? Or our friends?

c) Are we harsher on footballers because of the ridiculous sums of money they're paid?

d) Is it hypocritical for some to advocate violence to others (or look back at football hooliganism with some kind of nostalgia) on this or other boards and also condemn Barton?

I'm not condoning Barton's behaviour in the slightest, just wondering about above...
