My sister and her husband are going. She's obviously a Poolie, in fact a couple of years ago she was a pop star along with Mr Glasses).

Where is this group of yours and are they all camping together? (camping as in tents not as in Dale Winton)

With the best will in the world, we're all camping together. People are arriving at different times so there might be a few gaps. it's where the red dot is on this map.

It's one of the Lads' stag-dos on the Thursday. How good is that going to be? Sweet as!!!

Go to the main bar on the Pyramid field, stage left, remember that's left as you look OFF the stage. Ask for Wendy, tell her Worksop Kev sent you and demand free beer. She'll tell you to fook right off but you'd be surprised at what might occur on your next visit if you catch her eye.

I sat and watched that glasto dvd last night, anyone seen it? it's got a clip of some hartlepool lads doing the old trick with the wallet on the fishing line.

I see they haven't sold out for the first time in a while - some are blaming this on the fact that Jay-Z is one of the headline acts this year and he doesn't fit in with the rock/folk ethos of Glastonbury. I must say he is a strange choice - I'd rather watch Shaky myself stpid

I'm with ptab, but seen as I don't like anyone, I'm probably in the minority in not finding the idea of being surrounded by white kids with dreadlocks, exorbitant prices, rain, mud, students, some very shite bands, sleeping in a draughty tent, a great weekend!

It just seems like a over hyped bag of shite to me.

Every year its the same 'kin story, is it going to piss down, then it does, then there's pictures of dirty bastards sliding around in the mud.

Occassionally I might watch the "headline band" on bbc 14 late on Saturday night, but the music they produce is shite, rough as hell you just know they are getting a huge wedge to appear and nobody gives a fuck how poor they are because it's Glastonbury!

I don't get it either, i have friends who love it, think its the knees bees.

I don't even bother catching any of it on bbcthree or on the radio, the quality is awful as ptap says.

If I wanna see a band live, I wanna see them play to there best, so i'd probs go see them play a headline/supporting gig, like I have with Biffy Clyro, Enter Shakari, Foals, Hadouken!, Dartz etc etc this year.

Dancing about in the mud aint for me either, I like to keep clean and have regular showers and shave, and moisturise! clappp

I'm pretty apathetic towards music in general.
I would never go to a big festival.
I don't even know what this Jay zee bloke is or what he bangs on about.

BUT

I dropped my sister off there yesterday and the atmosphere at the place was amazing, and that was without even going inside. Driving away I seen the place from a panoramic view and I really didn't realise how massive it is. I spoke to my sister this morning, she is well sorted wit the camping, there is a real spirit of esprit d'corp around with everyone willing to help each other.

I can see the attraction if your a musico.

A police spokeswoman attributed the increase in thefts - from 19 at this stage in 2007 to 127 by Friday morning - to sunshine during the day on Thursday.
"When we have had sunny weather in the past, we tend to find tent-thefts go up," she said.

A suspected thief was also detained by festival-goers after allegedly disturbing two women in their tent overnight.

err...she's a musician and Glasto is a music festival.
Its not a stay free from drugs event
Her playing doesnt make people want to do drugs. If anything it shows how fucked up they can make you.
Canny shocking if you ask me, from someone who regularly professes to getting mortal on booze - with all the things that go with that.
And yes I know heroin is illegal and booze is legal, but then again I bet you've broken the law loads as well? I know I have

last post on this muttley as I dont want to turn it into an argument or owt - and I'm doing my best to keep my lily livered leftie liberal beak out of stuff if I can.
I just think its hypocritical that so many people think heroin users are the scum of the earth but that its ok to get mortal drunk on alcohol and kick or punch someone in the teeth if they dont like them. (That kicking and punching wasnt referring to you in particular, just lots of people in general).
Personally I've done every drug except heroin and crack and I can see how people get into trouble with them. My view is that alcohol causes more extreme violence than other drugs and that extreme violence is a worse crime than theft (which many blame heroin users for).
As for Amy - well she prob has the money to buy her heroin rather than steal anyway. I couldnt give a monkeys about her either way so am genuinely very surprised and saddened when others show so much vitriol about someone they dont know.
I feel sorry for most people who are stuck on heroin.
As for the dealers, I would lock them up for life and blow up the poppy fields constantly.
Right then, I'm wittering on so I had better go...

My point is....she should be condemned for using heroin....It's gonna kill her and kill people who try it after seeing her use it....a few drinks on a weekend is hardly the same!!!! confised confised

I've also tried every drug going apart from Smack!!!! confised confised

I also know loads of people/friends that smack has either destroyed or killed and it's that reason why I hate the Music Press who think she's some kind of God!!!! banghead banghead
The sooner it kills her the better!!!!
