Right, a serious issue!!

The neighbours have a number of cats. I cant stand cats and have to put up with them practically living in my garden. They s**t all over the place and leave dead birds lying around.

I have tried numerous 'cat repellant' type gel products that you put on the ground but without success.

I want to get a few fish put in the garden pond but I know that the cats will get them.

What is the next option? I have considered getting a supersoaker as people tell me that they hate getting wet. I have also considered getting some starfish and leaving them lying around the garden (I have been told that cats will eat starfish but it will kill the cats)

Help!!!!!!

Poison them.

Or get an air gun.

Or some kind of badger trap or them sharp things that snap round your leg if you stand on them.

Get a right bastard of a dog, a fast one. Maybe a lurcher or even a dobermann.

Put rat poison around your garden
Try the Starfish,but I dont think it works
Stick a wooden cur out of a cat in your garden,supposedly they dont like another cats territory
Sit up all night with an air rifle & shoot them

Cats are horrible smelly barstards & should be wiped out.

I too am a cat lover, but I suggested to me neighbours a supersoaker if they went over the wall. One major blast with a supersoaker will have them running and they tend not to go back after a couple of goes. No need to kill 'em is there.
Now Pitbulls and Rotty's, thats another story,....................

I will give the supersoaker option a try I think. I have also wondered about throwing the sh*t back over the neighbours fence.

Well I have a Doberman and a 8 month old cat and I can tell you that 9 times out of 10 the cat wins the fight, the other time the cat justs jumps for cover. I also have fish and the only thing the cat does to the fish is eats the food after spilling it all over the floor.

You're right. A bad tempered little twat of a terrier would be better.

sounds silly but this does work!

get some orange peal and put it around the garden, you may need quite a bit depending on the size of your garden, but cats hate the smell of it and you wont see them for dust, repeat a few times a week, i have tried this and it does work. anythings worth a try

There is a thing thingy that you can buy and it makes a clicking noise which cats hate!!! i'll find out what its called and get back to you!!!

CATS..... My username is from my late cairn terrier, Snowy, a vicious psychopath of a terrier who as an hobby and without encouragement would bring dead rats from the fields near our house up the Fens, but..... a neighbour had a Persian cat that would arrogantly swing down from the greenhouse just out of reach driving snowy mental, a bit like the dog on Tom and Jerry jumping up trying to catch it, ........then it got wise and just sat there, the cat got bolder and cockier ..... then he pounced... I'm seriously thinking about getting a dog, even though I wouldn't want to look after the sh*t machine. Just so I could keep it in the back garden ready to pounce. I'm sick of the cocksure little vermin they call cats wandering through my garden. Every other house in our street seems to have one, some have two (bastads(c)adg), and they all seem to use my property to go to wherever it is they are going. I've tried the supersoaker idea before, they just look at you as if to say 'what the f*ck do you think you're doing?'.

Someone once told me that tea bags soaked in peppermint, curry or even eucolyptus oil will help deter cats. Cats supposedly hate strong smells. You'll probably need to put them both next to the fences and in strategic areas.....

When we had a greyhound next door's cat used to come in the garden taking the mick.........until our "retired" greyhound took its tail clean off.

The neighbours wanted us to pay the vet's bill! The cat was an idiot as far as I'm concerned - coming into a garden where a really fast dog lives. What did it think the dog'd do, pat it on the head?

So the pendulum swings back from terrier toward lurcher...

The dung idea is the babby like.

Fox's, wolves, husky's or any of the big cats. Dung or wee-wee will do it. It's a territorial thing.

Mind your garden will stink.....

Try garlic they hate that and helped me get rid of them - like you my garden seemed to be a toilet for local cats - spinkled garlic around and haven't got them any more. (Can be bought at most supermarkets)

...or better still, get a French terrier with an air rifle and a contact at Flamingo Land...
