Having a go at the linesmen about not being able to get their subs on?

You can only make a sub when the ball is out of play, or am I wrong?

Pools were the victims of a 90th min ute penalty award at Torquay a few years back due to a similar incident involving Brian Horne. We were 2-1 up, Horne cleared the ball up the field and there was a late challenge from the Torquay player, and Horne reacted by throwing him to the ground - linesman flagged and a penalty was given, despite the ball being in Torquay's half. Ironically the Pools player who chased the clearance did well to keep the ball in play (to kill time and keep possession) however if he had let it go out then the penalty probably wouldn't have been awarded!!!
What made it worse was that Tom Kelly scored the penalty to make it 2-2, with hardly time to kick off again.

Pissed down all day, soaked in the open end which had more Bristol Rovers fans than Pools, as their game at Plymouth had been called off!!!

especially after watching that pile of shite get hammered 5-1 at home the day before!!!
To be fair, it must have been in the minds of the players they had that journey to do the very next morning with no prospect of recovering from the previous day's game, plus I think Carlisle pissed the league that year. They actually played reasonably well at Torquay despite the Boxing Day result.

Seen him sent off on greyfields about 3 years ago, was only about 10 seconds into the game he just crippled someone, the sort of tackle that would get you a 6-7 month ban.
