What do you want to see from the Centenary shirt this year then?

Obviously we're talking all white, all blue, or a mixture of the two.

We're probably looking at a "classic" template too, probably with old fashioned collars, maybe even laces etc...

And probably an element of gold - either in the trim, around the badge etc.

So - any hopes or aspirations? Or anything you really, REALLY don't want to see?

I'm looking forward to it either way.

I think you're being a bit optimistic there although good luck and I hope you prove me wrong.
I imagine the centenary shirt will differ as much from a normal one as did, for instance, our play-off final shirt.

I'd agree, unless Nike happen to have a gold-trimmed, classically cut, lace-up-collared blue/white number in their standard stock catalogue.

Like they can't afford to design something unique for a unique occasion?

Come on...they'd do it for Man.Utd or Arsenal...

Why can't we at least hope? I know you're being a realist, but why the hell shouldn't we be allowed to celebrate a tremendous achievement just because we're that little bit lower on the "reputation" scale?

It's a shame though isn't it?

You look at the pride and the sheer commitment that some people have in this town to this football club and you wonder why we aren't allowed the same chances as the big clubs.

I'm not blaming IOR or the club, because people should respect how much money is involved in running even a League One club, and how devoted the staff are to making sure it runs smoothly.

It's just a shame that some clubs are destined to bobble about in a certain league, with the odd bit of success now and again. I suppose in many respects it's much better than being a Man.Utd or a Chelsea because you know it's hard-work, grit and sweat that has gotten you where you are rather than money any arrogance.

It also means much more when you get those little glances at something special. I'm sure it's probably quite a numb experience to most Man.Utd fans when they next win the league or cup, or whatever.

I want nothing but the best for this club, and especially for the fans. But I'm just a realistic as the next person too.

I would like to see the centenary shirt rolled out 2 weeks from the end of the season with "league one champions - 2008-2009" embroided on the back.

Surely it's beneficial for our club to have a cheaper shirt rather than a bespoke one comissioned by Nike's top designers?

Pools pay £12.99 for the shirts they get now and a large chunk of the profit goes to the club. How can that be a bad thing?

Are you saying you'd like the club to make less money so you can have a bit of gold and a lace on your shirt? stpid

Does anybody know when its coming out ?

I hope it's a really decent kit and looks sharp - something really good to celebrate our centenary not like 1908 Gold or TFG.
