Cheers for moving the children's ward through to North Tees. At 4 this morning I had to drive the 5 yr old son through in the thickest of fogs with his eldest sister and the missus to N Tees and it took 25 minutes. Experience with previous illnesses has shown that you need the attention straight away and not when you can get your arse through some Hammer Style fog and then park and then leg it to the entrance and so on. And then try to find the childrens ward - no good no fookin good.

you lying little bastards the pair of you - you have no interest in all in the townsfolk and have shown yourselves to be hypocrites and not nice people of the highest order.

I wish you great ills and harm.

That is shite Col,it is absolutely disgusting that anyone has to trek through there when we have our own hospital on our doorstep.
I think you need to contact Mr 3Quid & the pair of you speak to the mail.Make sure the whole town hears about the way you have both been treat this week.
Iain Wright will be the first Labour MP to lose Hartlepool in a general election over this hospital carry on.

More importantly though,hows Charlie ?

people in the Collieries must have a nightmare now getting there. Trying to get to Sunderland or North Tees - Hartlepool was ideally situated for both the Collieries and the town itself. What a bunch of blind no marks we have in this town voting for Ian Shite.

Well my backs up even more cos they don't know what's wrong with the little fella and if he had been on the doorstep we prob would have took him to and prob got there earlier hpool hospital.

as it is the wife had to phone north tees and tell them what the crack was and that we were on our way.

and these calls to his bedside take 90 seconds that it costs me 39p a fookin minute so it 60 p beofre i speak to the missus.

Blumanchu (PK) here. Sorry about your news mate and I hope all the kids are OK. I don't want to make political mileage out of it or anyone elses misfortunes, but really this shit cannot be allowed to happen regularly. Everyone saw it coming and voted these bastads (Usual joke) in again ''cos me Dad voted Labour.'

Well look, they maybe weren't total bounders then but they are now, and even though I don't go I can't watch them rape my home town, because that's what it is.

What is needed is a complete campaign at this poison dwarf's surgeries. He has to provide open access to the electorate every so often and we need the same people knocking on his head every fortnight and demanding answers. I can research this and give you the times and dates. make the bastads (usual joke) life intolerable.

Might be time to do sumat......does anyone want to??

James Cook is great and to be honest North Tees is ok too - there's a reason they don't know what is wrong with him which on reflection is understandable but at the same time personally worrying. Hpool was ok too, in my eyes was HPool.

However it's not my choice to traipse through there, especially when i can run to the general in less than 10 minutes, and particularly when dopey and bashful lied so many fookin times.

But that is your choice Mr Costello.

Sometimes people need care straight away due to the level and extent of discomfort. The town needs a hospital......

20 minutes if you have a car...if you don't, it aint so accessible. If you have to get there by public transport, it aint so easy, it takes a long time and it's fookin expensive... and I bet there'll be people who don't go to hospital, who shouls or would have in the past, because of that, it may be minor complaint for a kid, but who knows...?

Apart from the shambles our lass had to go through regarding North Tees, we have a 4 year-old daughter who suffers from febrile convulsions, she's had 24 since she was born in 2003. If she had one while the hospital was in Hartlepool it would take, from the moment we phoned the ambulance until she reached A & E, about 15 minutes. To get to North Tees from here would take at least 35 minutes from the phone call. In that time there is a serious risk of brain damage or even death if the proper treatment isn't given.

It's been said a thousand times but it's a fooking disgrace that a town this size doesn't have a hospital to rely on.

Why would it make a difference to him PK - he will get chew at all of his surgeries - that's what they are for, if he gets the same thing over & over again he will just repeat the same stock answer over & over again - only solution is to vote the bastad out at the next election

Hope the bairn picks up soon Katcha

Do you vote Labour...?

Nope. I just choose the best for my family, and it's James Cook. If you knew half the background you'd understand but this isn't the place. Suffice to say I mourn the passing of Hartlepool General almost as much as I cried when Darlo didn't get to Wembley.

However, I CAN see how it would/will affect some people. I just hope it's not me or my family, and if there are 20 minutes to spare, it won't.
But you're basing your judgement one on case...it's like saying the sun causes sunburn therefore we would be better off without the sun... I'll risk getting took to the General if the options '20 minutes' down the A19... tough shit for pensioner or person who aint got a car.

James Cook may be the best for your situation Phil, but in many cases the most important factor is getting immediate treatment or diagnosis.
Dunno about you,but I reckon a Hartlepool hospital can respond to Hartlepool incidents a damn site quicker than one in Stockton,Boro or Sunderland.
If we hadnt had a hospital in February 1993 theres every possibility that I would be dead now.

If you had removed the words 'have our kids care' with 'support a team' and 'James Cook ' with 'Middlesbrough'...... you've given every reson our kid gives for having a borer season ticket....the last time I spoke to him

it's 20 minutes to North Tees outside of rush hour - getting there when the A19 is backed up from the Tees flyover to the A689 slip road takes another 10-15 minutes = 30-35 minutes.
People ARE going to die because of this situation.

I have to go again at 11 and i'll time it to the second from Hart Lane without breaking the speed limit, and do the mileage and then submit a bill for my labour and mileage to messrs shortarse and hyprocricy.

For a town the size of Hartlepool not to have a hospital is just plain stupid.

But this MP is going to get away with it unless people get off their arse and mount a serious campaign against the gadgy, gathering in intensity right through to the next election.
It would need be a non-political campaign, concentrating on one single issue: "THIS MAN has allowed you to be deprived of your hospital."
Bring politics into it and you're giving him the perfect opportunity to sidestep the real issue by tossing 100 red herrings into the argument.

19 minutes x 8 and 12 miles x 8 worked out at their fookin hourly rates and expenses is what will be appearing on an invoice on their desks. I street parked to avoid the car park costs. I would have walked to hpool. I know nowt about a free bus - especially at 4am on a Sunday.

Son home with a bag full of medicine and hope. Staff great (most ex hpool...even they have had to travel) hospital ok - policy crap and even the staff agreed

Why do any of you think a Super Hospital is the way forward?

I understand the concerns about the state of Hartlepool General, but surely that should have been addressed, not demolished.

What kind of society do we live in where a town of a 100,000 catchment area, doesnt have a hospital?

Its like everything else these days.

This super hospital is nothing but a scam to save money. Not to improve services for everyone, but to reduce costs, and make more money for the shareholders......or the provider if its built via PFI.

Banks did it years ago by using call centres. Do any of you honestly feel that was a move in the right direction? Do you? You have genuine banking problems and you expect them to be resolved by some Call centre billy?

Everything is about cutting costs, to make more money for shareholders.

You poor deluded saps.

Blimey, I have seen the light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until you pointed that out I never realised what was going on

Thank you ADG, Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
