The council should invest in a few big incinerators to burn our household rubbish, thereby allowing them to revert to weekly collections and at the same time (if there is any slight truth in the rumours) accelerate this global warming so that they can get good weather for people to enjoy the big sandy beach and clean sea!

Every time I go to Seaton I feel like I've gone back in time 30 years.

There are no decent chippies in the town - Fosters used to be good but the chips were full of black bits the last twice I went.

There is also no where in this town that does decent doner kebabs, the chicken kebabs from marina pizza aren't bad but the only decent doner i've had in this country is in blackpool and that was 3 seasons ago. Why can't they just make them like they do in spain or greece...?

Young's isn't awful but the place is a fucking mess. The bus stop, probably the only redeeming feature, needs about 6 tons of plaster and 17 coats of paint.

The Longscar Centre needs knocking down completely, I can't remember a time when it was ever at full capacity - all of the little shops are boarded up, the 'pub' is full of single mums or pregnant teenagers and the roof's practically falling off.

I hate Seaton. It's shit.

Lister Street is ok, but Brenda Road beats the hell out of it.

The best chippy though is Verrills. Especially on a nice day when you can sit outside and eat them fresh.

The Longscar site could have been done so much better though if they'd had a bar and outside seating area actually facing the sea. Is it true that our beloved mongjaw councillors insisted that everything had to face inland?

A nice bar, cafe / restaurant, ice cream shop etc all facing straight onto the beach and onto the side where the paddling pool is would be canny.

Since I've got back to the UK I've slowly realised that only about 1 in 10 chippies sell anything edible!
