I'm absolutely sick of the American presidential race, actually just the amount of coverage it's got, way more than I've ever known before a general election in THIS country! It's the top story on BBC News AGAIN today!!

The election isn't until bastard November either banghead

PJ, whether you like it or not the man will be the Leader of the Free World.

Even the Americans are anxious this time not to fook up - because look what happened when they did...

Anyway, this Obama is young, black and passionate - we stand on the edge of history here.

Remember, it's only been 40 years since the Ku Klux Klan and Selma, Montgomery and the bus protests, I have a dream etc.

They're saying good things about this bloke.

I'd really like him to get it.
Watching his speach last night, he certainly has charisma.

If there's nowt new going on in the world, the news tv programmes will always flog a long running 'story'.

One thing that's seems apparent to me, whenever they interview an American they always seem engaged by politics, they know what the score is, can answer questions in full and give a decent opinion. I'd say 80% of this country couldn't give a toss about politics and politians and wouldn't even speak to the press as they wouldn't have a clue what to say.

All politicians tell a good tale BEFORE they get power.

Worry not about Osama Bin Barack: he'll turn out to be just as big a kuntz as all his predecessors. It's a prerequisite.
