Drove down to Lymington last week with our lass and there are two things that really piss me off in this situation.
1. Set off at 5 am, lovely morning, she's asleep giving it big ZZZZZ's and out for the count, comes off the motorway at junction 15....(3 hours later at f***ing Northampton) for the A43 and asks where we are, when I told her she said..."Eeeh, it doesn't take long"....NO IT DOESN'T when you're in a f***ing coma :evil:

2. Is our lass the only person fascinated by cute sounding places and brown visitor attraction signs that make every journey between two points look like a drawing of a TV ariel? She has for the past few years passed a place near Silverstone called 'Hinton in the Hedges'.."it sounds canny that", she always says...so I took her there as I had time to kill .. it was the village of the damned..a single track road with passing places and as we pulled up on the village green I remembered the 'Wicker Man' ...and left. :shock:

What narks me is that when you get somewhere after a long drive, I need a bit of time to wind down, whereas our lass is full of beans and refreshed. Not refreshed enough to want to unload the car mind.

En route to away games you'll normally pass one of those brown signs for "The Heights of Abraham".

What did she make of World's End!? Next time wait a little longer and head off the beaten track near Newbury. You can show her the delights of driving along Cock Lane to Tutts Clump :grin:

She's fascinated by anywhere witha cute name...i.e... Bunny Wodd next the Lavender Meadow... that would grab her attention quicker than a lottery win. A suggestion to visit Cock Lane could result in stitches. sadx

yes you get a cable car to the top where there is a mining museum but on the way up it stops every 30 seconds for photos to be taken
i fooking hated it and walked back down complete with toddler and folded up buggy
