In theory, I agree with it - on the up side, BBC will have to choose excellent excellent songs for the national final - we'll have to send really good song to Russia so that it will have to qualify for final, more people will watch the semi-final to see if we qualify for final.

On the downside, if we send a bad song when voting problems are fixed, run risk of the United Kingdom, of all countries, not being present in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time since 1958 and for only the third time in the UK's 52-year history as a active Eurovision participant and founding member of the EBU, massive upheavel back home for whoever doesn't qualify, viewing figures and interest may decline to dangerous levels if we don't qualify after that.

Quite an apocalyptical vision.

It is biased....but always has been with certain countries voting for each other....that's why I first started watching it....for the results cos it's funny!!!! :grin: :grin:
