Grandfathers of the Universe - Hawkwind - space rock at its finest (I hope).

The gig was in Cambridge - near to my place of exile, it's only a short tour & the nearest they get to the North East is Leeds I think. The current line up is Dave Brock guitar / vocals / effects, one of the original members, Alan Davey - bass / vocals / effects and Richard Chadwick - drums. The latter 2 are the most recent additions as they've only been in the band about 20 years. There was also a keyboard / synth player who's not a permanent member.
Sorry, there was no Stacia, she's now living in Ireland, in fact there were no 'exotic' dancers at all - good light show though. An excellent gig with reworkings of many older numbers (no Silver Machine).
Arthur Brown had been working with them a couple of years ago & did a couple of tours / albums with them - he's now back doing his own stuff - it was a winning combination when he was with them.
It was good to hear that Hugh Cornwell was good - a hero of mine, I'll have to see him now that he's doing some more Stranglers numbers.
