How about a Bunker Player of the Century? That might influence things.

What anti-Wilson campaign? Serious question. There has been very very little in the way of anti-Wilson chanting at the matches this season. There was probably more during last season before we turned it around post-Accrington. There have been no banners at the match. There have been very few letters to the Mail. There have been no sit-down protests, no chanting outside the club offices, no graffiti, nothing. Compared to the anger felt towards Garry Gibson or even Martin Scott it's a pretty piss-poor campaign, if indeed any campaign exists. I can't imagine the club feeling to swayed by the scribblings of a dozen or two people on the bloody Bunker!

As for the crowds it's a tough one, but yes I would imagine it does piss off IOR. What are they supposed to do? They bankroll the greatest sustained run of good form in the club's history yet the crowds are going down, and have been doing so steadily since the high watermark of Cooper's first season. Last season was a blip because we went on a spectacular winning run. Until then our attendances last season were lower than 2004/05, 2005/06 and indeed 2007/08. It's a steady downward trend and I don't know what IOR should do other than maybe move to a less fooking apathetic town, with less plastic Prem telly watchers! A flippant answer obviously, but it's a difficult question.

i also think crowds are down because a lot of folk are struggling to afford it.

i used to go to 40-50 games a season. last season i think i done about 25, and that was simply down to finances.

rent , council tax, food, gas and eleccy, petrol are all rocketing up and these things take priority for most people over football.

at least 10 of the 92 league clubs have reduced season ticket prices for next season.

i dont think apathy comes into it a lot of the time. football is in the entertainment business and it needs to market itself and price its product not just at the diehards but at the casual supporter.

is a family of 4 gonna pay 80 quid to sit in the vic on a cold december afternoon or pay 18 bar to go to the cinema ?

pools really need to have a major rethink, because their ticketing/pricing/marketing is abysmal and has been for donkeys.

friday night games against the likes of cheltenham and northampton for instance. wtf was that all about ?

If Uncle Ken put up a photo of a current pools player, next to THAT one, it would ease the critisism Ken is getting for putting up his stupid shearer one?

And do you think anyone at the club actually believes this might work?

What would you all think if the IOR deliberately played down the centenary celebrations because they were unhappy with the anti-Wilson campaign.............and the dwindling crowds.

Now, obviously I have just made these up, but lets just say I hadnt.......what would you think?

instead of accusing folk of acting like fannies, why not, for the first time in bunker history, come up with a reasonably argued proposal to tackle falling attendances.

because anyone with enough money can sit there and say " well im alright, ive got no dependants, im well off financially, i can afford it, and anyone who isnt going is simply apathetic" although they obviously may come across as a latterday norman tebbitt.
