...am I some mad Poolie fundamantalist. I was reading yesterday that Horwood the player Darlow have signed on loan is looking forward to playing against Pools on Saturday as he's a Hartlepool lad ....sorry, am I missing something here. I just couldn't do it and especially not in these circumstances. If however, he scores several home goals and concedes three penalties, I may be a bit more understanding.

Supposedly he's a pools fan and all his mates will be in the crowd.
Football's like that though, if you're a player anyway.
Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen etc....if you stick to your allegiances you might end up going nowhere.
He's hardly got any say in the matter really. He needed to go on loan to get matches and he cant pull out of a game.
As for saying he's really looking forward to it, well yeah I concur.
I for one will be giving him plenty of stick and the bastard better not score.
If he's any good though, then he can come and play for us (I wouldnt hold the Darlo connection against him)

Horwoods brother Gareth was a very good player when he was in his teens, I'm surprised that he hasn't made it. He was at Pools for quite a while and used to score goals for fun.......
