Glad to see Gibb and Elliott off the wage bill.

Shame about Turnbull cos I thought he had potential when I saw him and although I'd never seen Haigh or Rae I'd heard good things about them.

No real shocks though is there.

No surprises there then.

The question I want to know is of the players released none will be on big wages apart form maybe Elliot, so have we the funds to improve the squad ready for next season. sctatchinghead

I heard 2 years for foley dont know how true it is.

Why oh why oh why oh why oh why? banghead banghead banghead

2 months would be 2 too many.

And I'd not have been unhappy to see Boland go either as he's been hit and miss at best this season.

Guess Budtz is under contract.

Yeah it's a shame that someone who scored as many goals as Rae did in the reserves just didn't cut it when he got his first team chance.

I dont understand the decisions made there like!

Fcuking FOLEY new contract!!!!!! banghead banghead banghead refred

all i can hope now he has given him an extension is that he gets farmed out to a 2nd division club for at least first half of season to hopefully strebgthen him up and work on his game.

As it stands he is not good enough but experience at a lower level might bring him on (even though i doubt it very much!)

I can't help thinking that this list indicates a lack of ambition - if these are the only ones we are letting go then we probably won't be bringing many in.

In which case, it doesn't look good for next season does it sadx

He obviously cannot run very fast

The sad thing is that is probably true.

The more expensive ones we bring in will probably to compensate for the sale of other players (ie James Brown) sadly.

Exactly my thoughts too.

Based upon that retained list which areas do you think that Wilson thinks he needs to strengthen?

I can see him bringing in no more than a pair of full backs and either a right winger or forward depending on where he sees Browny playing.

Would that be enough? Two good full backs would be a good start, especially if he then played Ritchie H in midfield with Liddle.

Team next season?

GK Lee-Barrett
RB New
LB New
CB Clark
CB Collins
RM Sweeney
LM Monkhouse
CM Liddle
CM Humphreys
CF Porter
CF Brown

Decent enough?

I like the look of Lee-Barrett.

I reckon that he's getting better and better and wouldn't be upset to start next season with him.

I think that we only really need a pair of proper full backs and another forward, as we only really have Porter, Brown and Barker in the squad as forwards and they won't play every game.

I'm surprised Foley, Boland and Robson haven't gone. I'm over the moon about Monkhouse and Porter and also my pal Martin Young, let's hope it happens for him next season. I feel sorry for Micky Rae, he was never really given a chance to prove himself.

So no mass clear out.

Lets hope he makes a few quality signings or I can see season tickets being down again sadx

Rae was never given a chance at first team level. Mr Ripper I agree with your starting 11 there like. ALthough McCunnie at rightbk would mean no new addition there unless we could get stephen wright's signature. Humps in the middle would bring creativity (somehting we have missed). class in the middle is richie.
