Apparently he's wanting a three year contract to stay at Pools.

Would you offer him one?

It would be suicide in my opinion to give someone almost 30 a 3 year contract.

2 years down the line, the knees 2 years older he could be finished and sitting there on a big fat contract with another year to run.

I would vote yes for a 2 year contract but due to his fitness record I voted no to this question.

I wouldn't give him three years. Two years maximum, probably only one year.

He's evidently having second thoughts about a move back home.

I don't think he's ever wanted to move back home I just think if he's going to continue to live 12,000 miles from home he wants a bit of security which is totally understandable.

Oh and the people mentioning injuries, he's just gone a full season without hardly being injured at at all.

The question I put to you is how much would it cost to buy a player of Joel Porter's quality? A damn site more than a three year contract I'd say, players of his class just don't turn up for nothing very often. He's hardly old, I don't see it as a gamble just common sense.
