I was off the other week when the kids were on holiday and was gobsmacked at how easy it was to actually get some where between 8.30 and 9.30 all due to there being no school run. Do any kids actually walk to school anymore? This isn't being helped by the fact that most secondary schools will be on the edges of the town soon, making even more travel necessary for secondary pupils, adding to the congestion... as they employ a 'Climate Change Officer' to get us to reduce or green house gases that they're creating in the first place.
As Hartlepool is the only town I know where the majority have to drive into it to get out of it, why don't we have a road from the A689 to the Hart by-pass with link roads so you can get out of town easier?

thats too sensible, besides if they did that they would'nt be able to bring in the congestion charge, have you noticed how the traffic lights are set up,you always seem to get caught at the marina way bridge and those at elwick road seem to change quicker on a dinner time than on a morning(going towards catcote shops)

..and what idiot thought it would be a good idea to allow right turns up Ekwick Road off the York Road junction. We saw the best ever last week at the Wooler Road /Elwick Road junction....as the cars stopped for the lights, the car one in front of me stopped and left the 'keep clear' gap open for cars coming from the ambulance station way to pull into, however...the car directly in front of me and behind the car who had left the gap, mounted the nearside pavement and drove into the gap, when I'd have sworn there wasn't room to fit a pram on that path. There was a car that had rightly pulled out top fill the gap left stuck in the middle of the road and blocking the traffic from the south as all the other traffic had moved up behind it so it couldn't reverse. Meanwhile, the arseole who caused the chaos, a bloke in his late 30's was laughing his head off, ...he also had a small child in the car with him stpid

please dont post things like this or i'll get fook all done today as it would take all day to put down the stupid things which happen every day in hartlepool.
snowy did you see they are also allowing right turns from elwick road into york road towards peak computers
and very few in hartlepool understand "box junctions"
stopping at red traffic lights
giving way
indicators
which lane to be in on a roundabout
and not using a mobile phone whilst driving
and child seats
and seatbelts

oh and on a totally different subject our new buses have been knocked back
apparently when our union secretary went to sunderland to look at a demo last week thare were a couple of problems
when a wheelchair user gets on a bar is lowered into place to keep the wheelchair in place but the pin used to lock the bar in place sticks out about 4 inches at child face level
and the slight matter of nowhere for the ticket machine to go
and the floor of the bus sloping in such a way that only midgets can use the back couple of rows of seats banghead

I saw the traffic notice for the Elwick Road one... banghead ....does anyone who 'plans' these things actually live in Hartlepool or do they just 'adapt' a version of Grand Theft Auto onto the traffic system?
As for the buses, remember they're 'designed' (I use the word in it's loosest sense) toaccomodate everyone except the driver and everyday passengers...so they'll probably win a design award
