That reminds me of another story for some reason.
A lorry tried to pass under a bridge that was just too low for it. It got well and truly stuck and the more the driver tried to reverse and manoeuvre, the worse it got stuck. A long tailback formed.
The police came on the scene and when they saw the predicament called the architect of the council responsible for the upkeep of the bridge. He came along, had a good look, and said, "hmm I'm going to have to go and get the bridge blueprints", which he duly did.
He got back to the scene an hour or so later and examined the bridge joints and said, "I think we're in luck, those are splittable joints so we should be able to jack the bridge up with some extra-heavy duty jacks. But you'll have to close the railway line that runs over the bridge and remove the track first."

Just then, a curious young lad strolled up to the melee, looked at the lorry for 5 seconds, and said, "Wow have you seen the size of them wheels. There must be an awful lot of air in them tyres."
