...again, bus fares that is. OK I don't use em, but they seem to go up every three months, our lasses sister said it costs £1.20 from Seaton, so how much would it cost for a couple to take three kids to the town and back...... years ago it was the better off who drove cars and the everyone else who used the bus..is it reversed now?

look you wingeing twats how else can i afford to get to pools unless i charge you more.

for poolpower if you had shown your pass you would have got it free silly.

no being serious pensioners travel free who do you think makes up the lost revenue the fare paying passengers.

and before anyone says the council/goverment pay for the free travel the amount is based on last years travel since it is free the buses are running about full of people who never travelled by bus before

WHOA THERE...hang about, that's the finanial logic of Mr Micawber...after the first year when the money is paid, everythings even and even if the scheme is scrapped the bus operator will still have a years money even when they've carried no one ...so the Council's paying and the fare payers are paying.....nice work if you can get it. Incidentally, if that were the case, the fares would go up annually and not every couple of months as it now appears.
Er, did Stagecoach post their profits this week and if so, where they up...?

none of us would miss a forty foot bus pulling out in front of us and sitting in the middle of the road doing fifteen miles an hour

i remember following one of your colleagues it might even have been you up the marina way when the driver endeavoured to knock down every bollard the police had placed along side the road spreading them all over the place in his wake and me the original Reginald Molehusband trying to avoid them

well it was 80p from asda to the central, but if they have gone up 5p that makes it 85 p then, or hasnt it gone up? dunno i only get it if its lashing down or if ive got shitloads of shopping like, otherwise i go on my bike. ive done 10,000 miles on it in 2 years and its just about to be retired.

to be fair to stagecoach they at least run a half decent service. anyone who has had the misfortune to have to use arriva will know what i mean. they are utter shite. i cycle 20 miles a day to work and back to avoid using them.

according to 3 quid this makes me a lazy get stupid

sorry chip i was so busy winding people up i didnt read it properly it is 80 from the town to asda and 95 from asda to mountbatten or 115 to arch court

and as for your half decent service those stood at asda when the road was shut would disagree why didnt we pick them up and then reverse back to middleton road i was asked
