Simply because I dislike Liverpool more than I dislike Chelsea I'm mildly pleased but not emotionally affected by the result.

Same here, and I loved Liverpool as a kid

Didn't the Liverpool manager advocate doing away with leagues one and two

The great Liverpool managers of the past must be spinning in their graves......he seems to think finish fourth is good enough, thats the difference between the greats of the game I suppose

I notice half of Liverpool's 'magnificent' support had fucked off by the time they scored the second (with four minutes remaining). Even though they were going out unless a miracle occurred it's indicative of the modern day Premiership fan that they couldn't even be arsed to stay and applaud a team who had reached the last four of the European Cup off the field.

I'd still be in the ground now if it was my team, they'll be calling for Benitez's head now yawn1

You guys would have to admit though that it is encouraging for the english game to have 2 teams in the final.

The only thing English about those teams is the location of the ground.

Liverpool are all Spanish, Chelsea are a mix of all sorts of nationalities except English.

And they're overrated. With the possible exception of Joe Cole.

The best players in the Premiershit are all foreign. The classy players who you'd happily pay to watch. Not the ones that Sky build up as world beaters cos they run around a lot (Lampard, Gerrard etc).

It could only happen in this virtual league-within-a-league that's evolved in the premiership couldn't it.
Many Chelsea supporters are STILL convinced Avram Grant is not the right man for the job.

And we accuse ourselves of having too high expectations for Pools!

I'm trying to make my mind up here. Is the general consensus of opinion that all things Premiership, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea etc etc are to be despised?
Could you lads try and be a bit more explicit. All this fence sitting is getting us nowhere.

I'm happy - I absolutely despise Liverpool and I won £20 off my insufferable plastic scouser mate who said they'd win the thing after their defeat of Arsenal. I prefer Man U over Chelsea in the final.

In my local there are any number of arsebound Manchester United supporters but no Chelsea ones to my knowledge. That doesn't really leave me much choice does it. They're too easy a target.

Age is confusing..our lass says she's 24, but if it's true, she's younger than two of our sons. sctatchinghead
Then she says I've a mental age of 14, so god knows where that puts me. confised
