Swansea City will not be presented with the League One trophy after Saturday's final home league game of the season.

The Swans were crowned champions last weekend but Leeds United's arbitration hearing over a 15 point deduction has held up the process.

Should they win, they could still be in the running for the title.

"Following legal advice, the Football League will not present the League One trophy to Swansea City at their match with Leyton Orient," a statement read.

"This is due to the ongoing arbitration hearing involving Leeds United.

"The panel in the hearing have committed to provide a verdict on or before 1 May and the League has been advised not to engage in any actions which might be misconstrued or viewed as pre-empting the arbitration process in any way.''

Sounds like the league are preparing themselves to give in to the BIG club Leeds and pave the way to give them back the points - stinks in my book

Can I ask why this is disgraceful? If it was Pools in the same situation as Leeds, then not one person on here would argue about it.

In an ideal world, the points deduction would stand as there should be no way that the club in question should be able to contest the punishment after it's been dished out. Unfortuantely, this isn't an ideal world and the football league, like any other business have to take legal matters very seriously.

I'm sure that Swansea will enjoy their championship parade if and when they get it, but if Leeds are given the points back and gain promotion as a result, the team has done it on merit.

Give them the points back and an extra 5 for messing them about then i pick my winnings up.

You know when you get sent off and then if you're a third division player you get an extra game ban for being cheeky enough to challenge authority and if you're a Premiership player because you're rich, you get let off and they give you a munch under the hearing room table?

Well if Leeds fail, does anyone think they'll start next season minus 30 points??
