Do kids still walk round the playground in a line with arms outstretched chanting that? It was like a snowball reaching critical mass, starting with two lads, then a few more, then more still, before every lad in the yard had joined on for fear of being left out. Peer pressure in action!

Also join on for:

Cops and robbers
Cowboys and indians

Armies was always the best though, it scans better.

We used to do that at "playtime" at Lister Street, problem was, by the time we had enough kids, the bell used to ring to go back to class!
And when i say bell, it wasnt an automatic thing, the teacher used to walk into the playground and ring it! Happy days clap clap clap

here the jailhouse rocked - i'm more than sure i'm come across a few and then report back kidder - and lynny were still shite - even when they got a load of grass they still didnt know what to do with it and in my memory they never had any goalposts on there and that field is better known as where White Spirit used to park their bus.
