No point, miss a couple of games through work and all the benefit has gone.

First time for years that I won't be.

Just gonna put the money in one of my savings accounts instead in June and pick and choose which games are worth bothering with.

Yes no matter what if people stop going and dont buy season tickets then IOR may turn around and say the fans dont want to pay to watch the team so whats the point of us putting money in lets bail out and leave it to them.
No matter how you feel about managers. players or IOR your loyalty is to the club that has been in the town for 100 years and made us very proud the last 10 years.
So support the club with your money and turning up to watch them or whats the point of being a pools fan.

If there was some kind of deal available for away tickets I'd definitely be interested. A book of 10 or 15 redeemable vouchers or whatever.
If I lived in the Pool I'd buy a season ticket without hesitating.

All depends on the price for me. With having a little one now I have to think more about what I am spending my money on, but the with the shower of shite that we have had to put up with for most of this season it has definately started to sway me towards the don't buy one side. I can think of loads of better stuff that I can buy the littleun with £350+

I know a lot of people seem to think like this, mouldy, but I don't get it. The Club isn't something separate from 'the manager, the players and IOR'. Also, there are many other 'groups' in Hartlepool who equally deserve support, as far as local loyalty goes.

I feel I need a good reason to support the Club (eg performance and good leadership for starters), other than it has the word 'Hartlepool' in its title.

IOR have given great leadership so give them your loyalty and support.

No!! No fookin' way!!!

ADG says he won't respect me if I do, so it's a big no-no from the PK household. If it was for nowt I wouldn't be getting one and if our rass gets one, she's toast... rage rage

However if I was in the UK, yes I'd get one.  Without a moments hesitation.

the country is on the brink of recession with the credit squeeze and the rising cost of living affection a lot of low and medium income families.

2 adults taking their 2 kids to pools on saturday would have laid out 60 bar simply for admission to the mill house " seats."

that imho is overpriced entertainment.

I agree.
I don't think it has anything to do with loyalty...it has to do with how much you're prepared to put up with to have a football team. Club owners exploit the fact that fans are prepared to put up with a lot.

No doubt Mr and Mrs Parmo invested endless money and effort into the No Rarfs Arms...they didn't suggest we were disloyal for not giving them more support

And both Blackburn and Boltons attendences havent changed, have they??

Sadly £20 is the about the norm for a club of our size and AVERAGE ATTENDANCE

Slashing season ticket prices might make the regular fan take up the offer, but sadly, this town STILL shows abject apathy when it comes to watching Pools, unless we are in guaranteed a Play Off place

I may have a new job (with luck) and depending on where it is will determine whether I should or not get a ST.
Oh yeah, and whether or not we put crap like Robson and Foley on new contracts and at the same time release people like Monkhouse....................

yep I'd be up for that as I will get to far more away game than home games next season.

I disagree.

Paying for a season ticket aint the issue for me. Being treated like a mug is.

If I don't buy a season ticket, which to watch Danny Wilson's "style" of football I won't, then I will simply put the money away to dip into on a match by match basis for games that I deem worthy of going to see.

I don't expect us to win every game. I do expect us to play entertaining football and see skillful players doing stuff that "grafters" can't.

This season has made me inclined to fit Pools around my life instead of fitting my life around Pools.

I will be purchasing a season ticket next year, don't have a mortgage etc to pay for so it's easier for me to afford it. I can understand the reasoning of some people not getting one but for me I just couldn't not go - even when the results are not going the way we want them to.

Are you Mrs Reeves who used to teach me shorthand? Do you still smell of wee wee and cabbage, and fart during dictation?

I have to go to Newcastle now. When I return I shall expect to have been contacted by a proper fisherman/woman

We all love pools on here....................thats sort of goes without saying surely?

Mouldy..................would you still buy a season ticket if it went up to £1000? Would you still buy one if it meant your mortgage didnt get paid?

Howay then................you are claiming we should support our club regardless.................tell me..............at what point does your loyalty get tested?

I have reached the financial point where MY LOYALTY............as you put it............is being severely tested. Thats not me being disloyal. Its just a fact.

You can bet that next seasons prices will go up.....again. Thus ensuring we remain at 4000 fans max.

Financially, times are very hard people, many clubs are beginning to realise this. But typically, at pools, we have fans that claim others are disloyal for not getting a season ticket. Only at pools eh?
I was dole for a good spell a few years back stopped smoking and drinking as my priorty was getting to the next home game.
if it came down to going to pools and spending my spare cash on other things pools would win every time.

I'd buy a ticket to see Sir Lawrence Olcaviar at the Headland Fish Pun Theatre.

If it existed.
