Why was it when it first opened, the Mill House Baths played 'Sweet Talking Guy' over and over again until it warped?

the baths was a great place for picking up the ladies as well
before they built the youth centres in the very early 70's we were at the baths every night it was cushty
then the youth centres arrived and it was a viscous circle of brinky sunday tunny thurs seaton fri for the discos :sweeeet:

they've demolished all of those circular youth centres near the schools I think. Hang outs for the school bullies they were!!! You didn't go unless you were mob handed!!!!
I can remember playing footy on "Wembley" at King George V playing fields (i.e. the bowling green :laugh: :laugh: ) after the caretaker had gone home.
The bus to "West" to get to the baths was 2 pence!!! I think it was 10 or 15 pence to get into Pools when I started going on my own!!!
